Watchtower Library on DVD

Recommended Posts

Please someone should help me instore this wtlib. After downloading the file into my system, I copied about six items (wtlib content) into a folder. I now ran WTLsetup, it rather asked if i wanted to completely remove Watchtower Library from my system. That was a strange question to me. If i press "no", it will stop. If i press "yes" it will wipe the content off my system. I also noticed that after the copying to a folder, the items inside the folder didnt increase to ten as I see in my 2015 wtlib raw file.

Can someone help? Is there anything i didnt do well?

The WT LIB 2016 installed to C:\Program Files (x86)\Watchtower\Watchtower Library

If you right click on the folder and select properties you will get:

1.57 GB (1,688,954,547 bytes)

988 Files, 402 Folders

My installation didn't result in removing WT LIB 2015 from my system.

BTW I'm using windows 10.

Which windows version are you using?

Right-click on wtlsetup.exe.

"run ad administrator" should be one of the options

There is no such option. What I have here are:

autorun

autorun

Readme

SystemInfo

WTLsetup

That's all, no ".exe" there.

WTLsetup should be the exe file.

You did not enable the option to show the file extensions.

Please help me. I finally instored it, but when I want to launch it, it gave me this message:

"Watchtower Lib data files cannot be accessed. Please ensure that the necessary media is accessed and try again".

How will I do this?

Besides these five files you noted:

autorun
autorun
Readme
SystemInfo
WTLsetup

There should also be one folder:

"rs_data"

If it isn't there, then the original 2016WTL zip file did not extract completely. Try extracting it again,

I am re-extracting it. Its asking me a question while copying, it says "do you want to copy this folder without encryption"

Should I skip or click "yes"?

Well spotted Chuck. I missed seeing that rs_data was missing.

click "yes"

Once you have all files and the rs_data folder, I would uninstall the WTL you just installed and then run setup again. I don't know of a way to just add the data folder. Maybe William does.

Tried updating my Watchtower LIbrary 2015 (build 6421) which updated to that build in July 2015 - but get the same old tired "No internet connection" message when I try to update.  Guess I'll have to file through 9 pages of this thread to see if anyone has a solution or if I should just wait till July to see if I can update again.

By the way. was it the Watchtower Library 2014 that came on DVD that updates or is it Watchtower Library 2015?  I'm thinking it's 2015 but I can't find my CD anywhere and I'm pretty sure I didn't borrow one.

Will this run on an XP OS?

Will it run on a Mac OS?

It doesn't work on XP OS. Somebody can help you installing it on a Mac OS.

You can always install Ubuntu to run alongside windows and use Ubuntu OS for the 2016 Library.  Ubuntu is a Linux OS
