Did anything special happen on March 26th 2019?

That was the 100th anniversary of the brothers being released from prison.

It appears that date doesn't have any special significance....

Not to hijack the thread but is this a Society instruction? I know ones in my kh listening on Skype aren't counted and it would be great to be able to add them on.
We use Live Kingdom Hall which provides a list with the name and the number of people watching/listening.

It automatically sends an email to MS and Elders with this count a half hour into the meeting.

Do you think that "prospect" here is linked to our faithfulness during GT or external factors

What did you glean from the Watchtower ...?

There is another interesting expression in the Watchtower ..

Brother, yes, at least in SK, you are to also count all members who are taking the meetings via phones or live feeds. This is a written instruction that is said in the attendance report paper: If there are individuals who are listening to the meeting via phone or internet, do not forget to include them to the numbers.

This is correct. Anyone who attends the meeting via phone or over the internet should be counted. When someone who is in hospital or housebound is connected via stream.jw.org to a special live streamed event of ours, they are counted and considered present as well.

I’m sure they won’t hurt you. Just walk past them. Or, give them a meeting invitation, perhaps. They’re your neighbours.

It is a prospect.  Similar to Zeph 2:2, 3

"Seek Jehovah, all you meek ones of the earth,  Who observe his righteous decrees. Seek righteousness, seek meekness.  Probably you will be concealed on the day of Jehovah’s anger. "

The probably means our salvation is dependent on our faithfulness, loyalty, and endurance. There is no guarantee.

Phillipians 4:8 Finally, brothers, whatever things are true, whatever things are of serious concern, whatever things are righteous, whatever things are chaste, whatever things are lovable, whatever things are well-spoken-of, whatever things are virtuous, and whatever things are praiseworthy, continue considering these things.

Our faithfulness, not external factors. Absolutely, yes.

The GT is God's judgment against rebellious , incorrigible and unrepentant humans and angels.  There is no way a faithful slave of God will die during the GT as a result of God's judgment.  It has been speculated that some could suffer cardiac arrest and die under the strain. If so, that would come under Ec. 9:11 'time and unexpected events'.

Once the GT begins, we are no longer living in a wicked system of things under the CONTROL of the devil. At that point, Jesus will have taken control away from Satan and will fulfill all of Jehovah's promises to deliver us out of the hands of the devil.

The GT and Armageddon are one judgment, with Armageddon being the culmination of the GT.

To put it another way: When nations go to war, they know they will suffer casualties. They will lose a few , if not many. But, at the end they may come out victorious.

Not so with Jehovah. He won't 'lose a few' in his war. With the caveat that an individual could possibly due from a pre-existing health issue.

I believe we will be protected from enemies during the hard-hitting Hailstone Message and onward. But we must remain faithful all the way through.

This was an interesting paragraph - as I have heard some say the preaching work is fulfilled / done:

Quote

What can we say about the progress of the Kingdom-preaching work? Year by year, this work is moving ahead. For example, think about the increase in the number of Kingdom proclaimers worldwide during the last days. In 1914, there were 5,155 publishers in 43 lands. Today, there are some 8.5 million publishers in 240 lands! Even so, our work is not yet over. We must keep proclaiming God’s Kingdom as the only solution to all mankind’s problems.—Ps. 145:11-13.

Nope, our preaching "work is not yet over."

Plan ahead as if Armageddon will not come in your lifetime, but lead your life as if it will come tomorrow (w 2004 Dec. 1 page 29)

Soon .....

Yes, that’s the way I see it too.

When I asked this question I simply wanted to see the view of others.

This is one of the most encouraging study articles to take to heart.

Jehovah lovingly “whispered to us... do not be afraid, when I act, just follow lifesaving instructions, take my hand and let’s go through this together”

Man was created as an intelligent creature with the desire to explore and understand :)

I recall that in Brother Loesch talk, in 2008, 'What The Near Future Holds' that he stated that, in the GB view, Matt 24:14 has been fulfilled. He made that statement on 2 different occasions while delivering this talk....

Having said that, he did not say to stop. We continue on, as commanded..

There is a military phrase, UNODIR, Unless Otherwise Directed, that accurately describes our current position...

Keep preaching Gods Kingdom until told to stop...:bible2:

I think it was in an 86 WT that said that Matt 24:14 was fulfilled as far as reaching the entire earth. So that part is done, however, now that we are there, the preaching continues until we are told to stop.

That is a pretty important distinction... thanks!

I heard that recording (I assume*) some years ago and shared my excitement with a sister.

She replied something like ‘No! No! My daughter has to come back!’

It changed my perspective, especially now we also have family members no longer walking with Jehovah.

(*I can’t remember the speaker. I have the mp3 somewhere but haven’t touched it for years.)

The conclusion of the matter, everything having been heard, is: Fear the true God and keep his commandments, for this is the whole obligation of man. Ec 12:13

Indeed, it has................................................ Matthew 24:14 continues to be fulfilled in a large way.

It would makes sense that Jehovah would protect us during the hailstone message since it would be impossible to get it done with so many people viciously attacking us. I hope this ends up being the case.

I’ve always wondered how that could be when there’s still places we haven’t reached yet. I know we won’t “complete the circuit” before the end comes but that has always seemed like a tough one to say.

The Hebrew word cushi or kushi is an affectionate term generally used in the Bible to refer to a dark-skinned person of African descent.
