Who knows, maybe it will be in the basement or shed (or not at all - these announcements are made in advance do BOE can make appropriate preparations, booking etc).

🙏 Thank you! 🙏

Daniel,

You are young, so time moves slowly.  If Jehovah had given us a date that Armageddon would begin do you think perhaps imperfect humans would concentrate on that date and forget that their dedication is for eternity?  This gives us an opportunity to show our dedication is about our love for Jehovah, choosing his sovereignty, it's not about us.

Try to appreciate that you are living in the most exciting time in the history of mankind.  You are watching IRL as prophecies are fulfilled. If you accidentally die tomorrow you still got to see most of the "last of the last days".  What a privilege.  If you are faithful, patient, obedient and survive a few more years you will be one of the story tellers who gets to reveal to the ones who are resurrected what it was like during these days that will NEVER occur again.

Sometimes when a person is depressed or frustrated it helps to write about it.  Try starting a journal.  A journal that shares your feelings during this time and catalogs the extraordinary events. Your journal might survive and a few hundred years from now you be reading it and say "yes, I was young and impatient but I'm glad I didn't know the date.  Jehovah has true wisdom".   Hang in there!

You cannot go by the announcements.  We are always going to plan ahead as far as we can.

Phillipians 4:8 Finally, brothers, whatever things are true, whatever things are of serious concern, whatever things are righteous, whatever things are chaste, whatever things are lovable, whatever things are well-spoken-of, whatever things are virtuous, and whatever things are praiseworthy, continue considering these things.

Yes that’s true. Right up until the day before the great tribulation starts, there will be plans in motion for years ahead.

Don’t be discouraged by future planning.

true,

im stuck in semantics,

our brother here that did the announcements overemphasized "*will* be held"

"is *planned* to be held" sounds more reasonable in my asperger ears

(according to wifey 😄)

I remember reading a comment on this website that said something along the lines of "Many pray to Jehovah begging him to please bring the end already and rescue us from this awful world... but at the same time many are praying to Jehovah to please hold off a little longer, because their son/daughter/mother/father/ a loved one haven't accepted the truth yet.

That helped me to exercise a little more patience, as difficult as it is sometimes.

Bro. Lett had some comments to share on one of our broadcasts  (maybe some intrepid researcher can find it) concerning this.

His point was that , having learned the Truth , a person might say "Okay!  Pull up the ladder - Let's go"  In other words: "Now that I'm on board , let the end come quickly"

Obviously immature thinking.

Why is it immature thinking? Is it not normal, after knowing the truth, that we look forward to the end? The rottenness of this world makes anyone wish for the new world to arrive. If one is comfortable with the things of this world and does not eagerly desire the end, he is either connected to the world or does not suffer any kind of serious trial.

Or has a parent who hasn't accepted the truth yet. Or a disfellowshipped daughter. Or a student who still needs some time to progress. :)

Every situation is different. I think that's where brother Lett was coming from.

(2 Peter 3:9) 9 Jehovah is not slow concerning his promise, as some people consider slowness, but he is patient with you because he does not desire anyone to be destroyed but desires all to attain to repentance.

So, some may feel as Jehovah does and they desire as many to attain to repentance as possible.

We all want the end to come, but it does come across a little self centered if we come up out of the baptismal pool and say "OK, I'm in! Let's start Armageddon!"

This made me think of a sinking ship illustration. If we were on a doomed ship and were fortunate enough to get on one of the last remaining life boats but noticed there was still room for more people, would we say "Let's row out of here before the ship pulls us down too!" Or would we want as many people as possible to hop on that boat along with us into safety.

Each of us has different feelings when we hear "the last days of the last days". To be honest there is no such expression in God's Word. Some brothers or sisters( 60' or 70')  may hear such or similar expression whole their lives. Each of us can have different explanation or interpretation of it? For some brothers it is not big matter but let's think about all brotherhood.

Any possibility John Lennon’s song Imagine will be sung by people during PS campaign?

Though, I used to imagine NW listening to that song as a kid.. no business-like evil religion.. world being one etc.. If John Lennon gets resurrected, he’ll see the world as he imagined and dreamed.

But some people might sing this song during PS.

Imagine there's no heaven
It's easy if you try
No hell below us
Above us, only sky

Imagine all the people
Livin' for today
Ah

Imagine there's no countries
It isn't hard to do
Nothing to kill or die for
And no religion, too

Imagine all the people
Livin' life in peace
You

You may say I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope someday you'll join us
And the world will be as one

Imagine no possessions
I wonder if you can
No need for greed or hunger
A brotherhood of man

Imagine all the people
Sharing all the world
You

You may say I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope someday you'll join us
And the world will live as one
