An incident that occurred in the Hall near the literature counter. I stood at the distribution of publications. An elderly couple (about 70 years old) approached. On the shelf were brochures and preaching magazines, including the November 2011 magazine. The husband looked at the magazine and said to his wife, “Do you want sex?”

The wife hit her husband and said: What sex, let’s go preach!” 🤣

When someone went to the local hospital with an eye problem, a couple were giving support in the ophthalmic waiting room. One of the books sitting on the table was entitled "Cataract Extraction Through the Back Passage". It was probably at this point the decision was made  to have any of their eye problems handled elsewhere.

Not long ago I found myself picking up my mobile phone and holding up to my ear.  Then I realized I was waiting to hear a dial tone before dialing a number.   

 

I know what this means   .    .

This reminds me of an incident in field service many years ago. I had knocked on one door of a building which, from the front yard, looked to be what we call a duplex. That is two residences in one building. The women who answered listened to my presentation but did not have any interest at the time, so I walked down the common porch and knocked on the other door. The same woman came to the door. I apologized and told her that I thought that it was a duplex and that this second door was to someone else's home. She said she understood, and admitted that the way the building was built, "it could be rather conceiving".
