Yeah. I heard about that book several years ago.

I'm still waiting for the "Reasoning With My Wife" to be released. 🤨👍🏻

Yeah. I heard about that book several years ago. An elder showed me a few sample introductions in it you might use so as to get to know a sister you like. I also read a couple of examples of what to say when the sister uses a "conversation stopper." You know the ones, such as "I'm not interested," or "I've got my own boyfriend," etc. Well, I decided to try out once of those introductions on a sister. But she said: "I'M MARRIED!" Well, I went back to the elder and asked him why this "conversation stopper" wasn't discussed in the book. Unfortunately, he had no answer. So I gave up.

Sorry to say, I didn't find much use in that book. :shrugs:

“Stop following me, I have a court order!”

Ah, the good ol’ days.

The conclusion of the matter, everything having been heard, is: Fear the true God and keep his commandments, for this is the whole obligation of man. Ec 12:13

I am quite sure that is the pocket version. The full size version goes into much greater detail. :whistling:

I’m guessing this is a super old chat but I’m thinking about bringing it back to life. Anyone see agree or should we start a new one?

It's only the picture I last posted that's black and white, this thread isn't "actually" from the 1930s....

Ok, now when grammar, fashion, cultural differenses had been already discussed  sould we start another circle discussing great slender legs?

Bachelor number three has no necktie. And what's up with the beard on number four?  Just a question from an elderly sister who has not been well and does not want to get kicked off.  Y(semi apologetic)S

I have the Gems talk this week.

Do you have the Gems or the Treasures?  The Gems is just Q&A with audience participation.  The Treasures is a talk.

Phillipians 4:8 Finally, brothers, whatever things are true, whatever things are of serious concern, whatever things are righteous, whatever things are chaste, whatever things are lovable, whatever things are well-spoken-of, whatever things are virtuous, and whatever things are praiseworthy, continue considering these things.

The brother for his part did a nice job. I am sure you will do great.

I really like the audio of the account.

"there was Jehovah’s word for him, and it went on to say to him: “What is your business here, E·lijah?" To this (Elijah) he said: “I have been absolutely jealous for Jehovah the God of armies"- 1 Kings 19:9, 10 Reference Bible

Ecclesiastes 7:21 "..., do not give your heart to all the words that people may speak," - Reference Bible

From going over my video the brother asked me as host to leave main image as he read the 1st scripture.

He then proceeded to cover the material well. Lastly made application on obedience and not imitating proud Pharaoh by really making serious effort to obediently serve Jehovah during this pandemic. Applying the counsel of the covid-19 guidelines for the safety of ourselves and family. Not having social gatherings as mentioned by the guidelines. And not imitating the world in general of insisting on their own rights on what they want to do and not what we are given expressed guidelines on how to conduct ourselves in this pandemic situation.

As a reminder: this is a talk from the USA branch territory where many have a 'cavalier' attitude. No doubt the reason for the spike in covid-19 cases and deaths.

The brother did a real good job even through some slight technical problems he had. His " ''mouse " died (or batteries worn out).
