Have any plans for Wednesday, Oct. 7?

You better cancel them. That's because the eBible Fellowship website, based in Sharon Hill, Penn., is predicting the world will be annihilated on Wednesday.

"According to what the Bible is presenting it does appear that 7 October will be the day that God has spoken of: in which, the world will pass away," church founder Chris McCann told the Guardian.

Or, if you can't get past the Star's paywall...

The eBible Fellowship, an online affiliation headquartered near Philadelphia, has based its prediction of an October obliteration on a previous claim that the world would end on 21 May 2011. While that claim proved to be false, the organization is confident it has the correct date this time.

“According to what the Bible is presenting it does appear that 7 October will be the day that God has spoken of: in which, the world will pass away,” said Chris McCann, the leader and founder of the fellowship, an online gathering of Christians headquartered in Philadelphia.

“It’ll be gone forever. Annihilated.”

Oh good, I have the Bible reading tonight and I wont have to pronounce those names now..

I got to substitute last night

:lol1: They clapped after  :nope:  I am sure they will do the same for you tonight. But you are so humble - you may have to mess up on purpose so they don't  :lol1:

Articles like this make me sad.  I'd like to reach out to these people and share with them the Truth.  Sadly, social media is not the place for that.  Looking at their facebook comments it's clear that all social media does is stir argument.  The keyboard is like alcohol and you can't reason with a drunk.

To me - it seems like another of Satan's tactics. He just keeps having these crazy people set dates and say the end is near and then when we come around talking about the end of this system - they associate us with the crazies and don't listen any further.

i imagine he will step this up as we get closer.

I have really been trying to keep my ministry more focused on the solutions from the Kingdom - rather than "HURRY - Get SAVED! we are at the end."

From congregation Bible study - those who make these claims, they don't worship Jehovah with spirit and truth. They have no value in making statements like that. They could be helped but their hearts won't allow them to be used by Jehovah.

"there was Jehovah’s word for him, and it went on to say to him: “What is your business here, E·lijah?" To this (Elijah) he said: “I have been absolutely jealous for Jehovah the God of armies"- 1 Kings 19:9, 10 Reference Bible

Ecclesiastes 7:21 "..., do not give your heart to all the words that people may speak," - Reference Bible

Funny how they never publish the 'formula' with which they come up with these crazy dates!  Apparently they aren't big on reading their Bible or else they'd realize that it's a date no man can possible know.  Think this guy would get tired of being monumentally wrong all the time and just fade off the scene, but he probably has a bunch of kooky followers still giving him all their world goods and trying to proclaim the county they live in a Sovereign Nation.  I'm sure he saw Jesus in his waffles this morning too.

Don't live for the moment - live for the future! :D

Not only that, but when they point to specific dates, Matthew 24:36 is called into play.

We know that we are living in the time of the end, but no one knows the day or hour.

Jesus also said it would come 'at an hour that we do not think to be it.' When people make specific predictions like this, then many may be thinking that this is it. The end can't come at a time when some religionist is saying it's now.

Did I explain that right? :S

Its a terrible world when journalists have lost all ability to actually do research before committing to paper/pixels what they wish to write about. Such a waste of a skill. ;)

They did clap!

I was so surprised when I heard all the noise, I thought it was the sound of flying fruit until I realized they were clapping. Although, I'm not sure if they were just clapping because I was leaving the stage....

Since that prophecy failed, the society has predicted at least seven other dates when Armageddon would occur.

Errr...... what???
