So do we, my wife was born in Canada, but is from Russia (having this language as a second one has been neat).

On my tablet the source of letter of publications is darker

The app comes from the app store.  Not sure if they can block access to an app from the store.

The bible and publications files however download from jw.org.  So the app itself might have a problem downloading them.  Unless you can get hold of the jwpub files from another source.

Very strange. For the first time for me JW Library is refusing to open on my iPad. I just get the spinny thing.

Hopefully those at a convention aren't having the same problem.

My android phone just received a JWL update. Current version is 1.5.4. The update said it updated the publications styling but I don't see a difference.

I know my "Imitate Jesus" book in Publications showed an update (unless I missed it previously somehow).  I didn't notice anything different with the pub stylings either (not quite sure what that means but thought it had something to do with either the appearance of how pictures are situated or the look of the fonts).

I received the update on my iPad yesterday and not only did they mention the bug fixes and the publication styling, it also mentioned that this version is compatible with iOS 7 and later and that some user interface languages were temporarily removed until iOS 9.1.

The big change is: The publications are now linked. For Example: Open the km and tap the Song. It appears on the right. On the top right the Song number and title is now blue, if you have the songbook downloaded. Tap it and you will jump to the sheet. It also works with other publications. For Example with the index in the last watchtower or awake of the year. Tap the link and then tap the title on the right margin and jump to the publication (if downloaded).

That could be from the new system update the Nexus 10 got today too (at least I got mine today).

Agreed, I had the ANDROID system update a few days ago for nexus 10.

I wish the new system (world) would be here already. Lol ☺

You quoted a post from July 2014. There have been some changes since then.

Has anyone updated to iOS 9 yet?  I just received my invite to do so today but recalled reading that it caused a problem with either JW Library or Equipd.  Either way, until I see or hear the "all clear" signal" I guess I will wait.

I am on iOS 9 on both an iPhone 5S and an iPad and both work fine with both - the JW Library and eQuipd (both version of that as well).

I LOVE the new link-able publications.

 

But I'm still pining for the long-promised highlight/study feature!!

 

It's still there under "COMING SOON", but it's starting to seem like they're going by the "1000 years as 1 day" rule.
