It's not LATE! LOL ☺

It took a while to get from copper to silver and then silver to gold. Ha ha!

Just because they only used the term "highlight" doesn't mean that it doesn't include notation also, usually they both go hand in hand in most apps.

I didn't see anything about notes on the task bar they showed in the video..

Might the arrow indicate more options? Usually it indicates "play". As there is nothing to play I would hazard to guess more options. "notes" could be among them, eh?

It would be awesome, if the arrow or a 'play' button will read the selected text to you.

My Mantano does that, a text to speech option.

Sure does. I tried it out when I downloaded the February 2016 study edition. It's a electronic female voice though.

As I didn´t see it selecting text first (as moon reader and other app's do) but rather just passed the finger trough the text, maybe there's a button to press first with highlight mode and other with insert note mode... or maybe, as it was just a simulation, real world method will be totally different ;)

That would require binding to 3rd party app for speech synthesizer. I don't see the brothers doing such an app if we already have real voices reading the text. Much easier would be indexing the audio files and playing those along, which would be awesome! :)

Agreed. Maybe with the newer publications that like has audio for them at JW.ORG (when you press the play button to certain files) it might work. Probably not for all files. Most definitely the Bible 1984 and eventually the 2013 edit. I can only hope.

It is very possible that the arrow opens a "color selection option" that allows for additional colors.

But normally the "more options" icon is 3 dot image, at least on Android... I'm betting that's the "play" icon :)

I got $5 that says you are wrong...

We don't know which OS was being demonstrated.  My Windows JW-Library uses "arrows".  My Android unit shows "arrows" to select "return" in the bible books and appendices.  The Android unit also uses "arrows" to show selection options in the publication menu.  Who knows? (of course Jehovah knows).

Or another menu to select different annotation features (underline, note, etc).

"Automatically sink the selected text into the heart" would be good.
