Updates to Watchtower Library DVD (Windows only)

My WTL just updated to version 1700 with a download of nearly 900 MB. Then immediately it updated again, this time only 17 MB.

 

Right now I have version 19.0 build 7630 update 1701.

That's what I have now too. Funny, two updates one after the other? I wonder why that was...?

 

We now have Awakes to January 2018, public Watchtowers to January, study editions to February, Meeting Workbooks to February, Daily texts for 2018 (not sure if it was there before)...

The 1700 update brought it up to 2017 edition level, like you will find on the 2017 DVD.  The 1701 was the first update for the 2017 edition, with the first of the 2018 magazines and workbooks.

All connection problems and update problems in the watchtower library CD have I resolved on Windows PC this way: First I had to completely uninstall the watchtower library from my PC and all it's components and then to reinstall the application on my hard disc. This fixed the problem with the internet connection. Then you must do the followings: Open first time the Watchtower Library and when asked you if do you prefer the program on start to check for updates automatically then choose no. Or you can select this option manually through the application menus. From the menu at the top, click: Library, then select: Properties, then select: Updates, and unselect the automatic updates. You must first make this settings is described above and then proceed to the next action. Change the settings of the system on your Windows PC , to make the hidden folders to be visible ..then open the following folder, (here is the way to do this): 1) Click the Start button. This button can be found in the lower-left corner of the screen, and may just be a Windows logo. 2) Click the Computer or File Explorer button. In Windows 10, this looks like a folder and can be found on the left side of the menu, or in your Windows task bar at the bottom of the screen. Then Click This PC in the left sidebar (Window 10). Follow this line: WINDOWS (C:)/User/your username/AppData/Roaming/Watchtower/WTLibrary2015/G/WTG/Updates/  and delete all files they existed in this folder if there exists any...Then open the watchtower library app and from the menu on the top open: Help, then click: check for updates... this is all. Problem is resolved.

It looks like it contain the entire Study Bible with all of the introduction videos, media and study notes that are currently available in JWL.

Yep. I was quite surprised that the videos played inside of the program.

How hard do our brothers work to provide our food in every accesible way.  The study bible is amazing and I am so grateful for it and now to have every aspect of it on WTL is a real blessing. WTL is my preferred study medium and now I won't have to use different devices.

Is Update 1703 the latest update?  If so, we must be due another update in April?
