Well, the mysterious coronavirus now has a name:

They eat  venomous snake because out of superstitions or poverty. 

In my country, some people eat bullfrog, it has poison too. But people can't afford to buy eat so they eat them.

There is a distinct difference between a poisonous or venomous snake...

Yes, it was rattlesnake, BBQ...and no, it tasted more like BBQ strands of leather....not very good...

 

I probably overcooked it, we were camping and had other food, I had killed the snake because it entered our campsite and it was within feet of my infant son when one of my daughters spotted it.

 

I had been wanting to try snake so I went ahead and cooked it. I may try it again some time, if the opportunity presents itself....

I have caught and eaten rattlesnake several times. I found it to be quite tasty very similar to frog legs. It take a big snake to provide much meat. We once had a six foot rattlesnake dinner, no leftovers.

So this is interesting, on the topic with the rattlesnakes. I heard that this virus may have come from people such things, as well as eating bats in China as it's delicacy, and the strain of the virus in people has shown to be shared with them.

From the Daily Mail : the virus originated very close to Chinas only known institution working with SARS and EBOLA.  Could it have escaped??
