But please keep in mind that some of the people on this forum suffer from dyslexia, and others might not read English as their first language. If we all make up our own individualized grammar, we will end up like the builders of the tower of Babel.

Dyslexia is no doubt another affliction that many have to live with, until Jehovah restores perfect health.

Brandon, I am not sure if you know this, but there is a helpful feature here on the forum called "ignore user" and if you select myself for instance , you will not have to read my comments that may be hard for you, as you deal with the condition (I assume you have it?)

Please stay well and healthy my brother. :)

Brandon, I found by accident same manner of "grammar" I often use, employed by FDS as well. (3 dots...periods etc)

I am not implying article to you, just quoting for the sake of periods.

We will thus be inclined to speak words that build up rather than tear down. “Make it your aim . . . to mind your own business.” (1 Thess. 4:11) Show personal interest in others, but do so in ways that respect their privacy and that do not take away their dignity. Remember, too, that we should not impose our own views on others regarding matters that they need to decide for themselves.—Gal. 6:5. W11 7/15

Another example: “The new covenant has nothing to do with the natural descendants of Israel and with mankind in general, but . . . is limited to spiritual Israel.” The Bible’s restoration prophecies relate neither to the natural Jews nor to political Israel, which is a member of the United Nations and a part of the world that Jesus spoke of at John 14:19, 30 and 18:36. re:Sealing

Ellipses for omitted material spanning two or more sentences

"When quoted material is presented as multiple sentences, four dots should be used for omissions between two or more original sentences; three dots should be used for omissions within a single original sentence."

I sometime use a series of dots to show there is more unspoken material at the end of my input ....

As I said, I was also referring to his use of the period *inside* the word “can’t”

Does no one bother reading my comments before quoting them emoji19.png

No need for firm response Brandon, we are all here to get encouragement :), if you experience personal discomfort reading something I feel for you ...really do.

We are not here to "police" others, and how they express themselves. (otherwise I would have to point out that this is wrong: the americas LOL :whistling:)

This forum is indeed a "Babel" in a positive way, as it attracts an international members with various personalities and grammar skills...and thought process.

Big hugs from Down Under.

Health authorities on alert after nurse DIES following vaccination with Pfizer’s Covid-19 shot in Portugal

Health authorities in Portugal are investigating the sudden death of a pediatric surgery assistant in Porto, who was reportedly in “perfect health” when she received the Pfizer vaccine against the coronavirus.

Isn't it interesting that we never see headlines like these:

  • Health authorities investigate the large number of those vaccinated with no adverse reactions
  • With the number of those vaccinated so far showing increased immunity health authorities are concerned
  • With allergic reactions to the COVID vaccine(s) so low, further studies are ordered

The only headlines we see and are quoted are ones that are negative ... why not extoll the positive ones as well?

That news about a nurse who died two days after being vaccinated... It should be everywhere in the news here and in Portugal, but I only found it in one Portuguese tabloid (Correio da Manha) and in RT-related media.

Not saying it's false, just that it's strange. Maybe it's very recent news and it won't appear until tomorrow.

In the unlikely case it's true and it's confirmed her death was caused by the vaccine and not by something else, as tragic as it is, it's remarkable that over one million people have already received this vaccine without serious consequences. One death in one million is still a lot less risky that getting infected.

just curious, but why did you use more than 30 periods in this six-sentence comment? (including in the middle of the word “can’t”)

It was quite difficult to read.

Shakespeare wrote a play dealing with something just this serious, can anyone guess the name of the play?

My cousin who is a Paramedic and Fireman as well as an elder had the first dose of the COVID Vaccination one week ago Monday.  The health system that gave it to him took a picture and posted it.  Because they're starting to vaccinate EMS workers in at least some parts of Washington State USA.  I just thought I'd share.  I saw the photo, my aunt texted it to me.  I didn't know he's had the vaccine until today.

The GP surgery rang earlier and my 85 year old Mum is scheduled to get the vaccine this coming Sunday afternoon at the local health centre.

I presume it will be the Oxford/Astro Zenica vaccine although they didn't say

Some minds are like concrete ...all mixed up and permanently set! 😁

A full 7 days after the vaccine, I feel great. The soreness in the injection site is gone. No side-effects. Not that there are no side-effects, but I did not have any. It appears to be safe!

That's excellent news.  I think all the panic about the long term effects they used to assess over a five to ten year basis have been put to rest now,   a full 4 weeks after rollout.

All risks and side effects registered so far are only snapshots of the past months, this must be noted despite all the excitement about the rapid vaccine development. Nothing is yet known about possible long-term effects of the individual vaccines. There is a lack of information about possibly severe side effects  Only the long-term studies that accompany the vaccinations worldwide, and will continue since approval, will provide clarity.
Such side effects only become apparent after many people have been vaccinated and after a longer observation period. "There is therefore a residual risk," said Christian Bogdan. "How high that is will have to be examined in the coming months and years."  (Christian Bogdan, director of the Institute for Clinical Microbiology, Immunology and Hygiene at Erlangen University Hospital, who is also a member of the Standing Committee on Vaccination (STIKO) at the Robert Koch Institute (RKI).)
