' OLD' Movies

Recommended Posts

I was watching Calamity Jane last night - starred Doris Day and Howard Keel - two of my most favourite actors/resses ever! Here is one of my favourite songs from the movie - most of you would have seen this I'm sure.

Just LOVE this movie. (My other is Showboat) What is your favourite old movie?

thank you for posting this, sister - it made my day.  At the end of the clip it allowed me to hear "Secret Love" which is beautiful.  Doris Day was great.  Funny, talented, a great actress, etc.  Ans she did it all with a clean innocence that wouldn't make it in today's polluted world.  I love her other movies, even though the ones with Rock Hudson seem somewhat tainted now, knowing his issues.

We're No Angels with Humphrey Bogart. It's actually a ...'holiday'... movie but i really love the comedy in it.

I also loved the Thin Man series with William Powell and Myrna Loy.
