Updates to JW Library (iOS, Android, Windows)

Kinda confused here. Wasn't the huge audio and video update to JWLibrary so that all those files would download to our (in my case iPad) and we wouldn't stream anymore??

So why is it that when I turn off wifi and try to play audio it doesn't play unless I use cellular?

It may depend on how you try to play it. Don't use the arrow at the top to play the audio, try the headphone icon on the chapter list...

Are you tapping the title under the picture? What I find is: Tap  the cloud while online to download the music or video; Tap the picture while online to stream the content; Tap the title under the picture to play while offline.

Wouldn't it be nice if our songbook was in the main "publications" page so we can easily access it?  (I think it's currently under "books and brochures?!" )
Oh well, it's not a big thing.

You can press the three dots and add to favorites, iPad

Then download all the songs with videos that are required.

On the phone app, having exactly the same problem. It says download. We download. We play it, but it still shows the arrow needing download.
We turn data connection off, and it will not play.
Hmmmm

Ezra used to do that!

Every time I updated I would look at the Bible layout to see if anything was new and Ezra wouldn’t have the headphone symbol. Then it would appear a few minutes later.

I don’t know if it did it for this v.11 as I was too excited to notice!

Yes. If you have it set to go to the external SD card, then the downloads will go to the card.

After the update to version 11.0 I get an error.
The video with the circle wants to update endlessly.
Does anyone have a solution?

I downloaded the Memorial invitation sample presentation, and it kept telling me that an update was available. Every time i tried to run the update, onece finished, it again said an update was available.

And it kept going in that cycle

In the past, when I had this happen, I deleted the publication and d/l it again ... that took care of the "problem"

It could be possible, but I do not think it is so.

My first Android is a nearly new Galaxy S7 32 GB + 64 GB.
My second Android is a 2-3 year old Blackphone 2 from Cilent Circle 32 GB + 32 GB.
My Wife has a S7 edge 32GB + 32GB. One sister in our congregation has a few months old Samsung tablet.

All these devices show the same error.
At download - a circle and then you can update again and again.

We all have to do so.

 

But my three Windows Computer do not show this problem.
