Updates to JW Library (iOS, Android, Windows)

Recommended Posts

I had several devices doing updates to the Bible in JW Library.  Some showed a 123 MB update to the study Bible some did not.  Some showed media updates some did not.  Some showed different values in the size of the media updates.

Currently Most (all but one) show 1124 audio files and 74 video files installed.  One of my Ipads still shows 73 video and says I am "Up-to-date"'.  It is a strange mixture and varying timing.

today morning I opened Microsoft store, checked for updates and here was jw library update 13.3.110, so I updated.

But be carefull, I m getting force closes, when I want to open jwl.ib.

I tried to "repair" at Settings, but no go.

Im going to try "upgrade" with jw library zip file from jw.org and if no going, then RESET - oh no!

Yesterday I upgraded my phone from a 2014 Motorola Droid Maxx II to a 2022 Motorola Edge.

I have spent most of today trying to set up my JWLibrary App the way it was on my old phone.

On my old phone, I had everything downloaded but the childrens' songs.  I would have had those

downloaded too, but I ran out of room.  🤣

The reason for downloading everything is because Trenary, Michigan isn't just in the middle of

Michigan's Upper Peninsula, it is also in the middle of the middle of nowhere when it comes to cell phone

service.   Don't need internet if stuff is downloaded onto your devices. 😁👍

The problem I am having is that the JWLibrary App keeps closing on me.  It has crashed at least a dozen

times on me today.  I sent in a report.   Don't know where the report went, but I sent it.

Is anyone else experiencing this problem with their latest version of the JWLibrary app for android devices?

🤔

Have you tried forcing stop the app and clearing the cache?

Or delete all data of the app? This must delete all you have downloaded.

Or, a fresh install.

All of my devices updated to version 13,4 on the JW Library app.  Windows, IOS and Android.  Thanks

In addition to all of the "privacy" stuff you have to accept, I noticed that the app has "inverted" the order of my Yearbooks and my Daily Text books.  The now show newest date first (like the Watchtower listings).

You need to scroll all the way down.

You have to scroll to the bottom of the actual text box - several "pages" worth or use the down arrow to go to the bottom of the text in the box for the "Accept" to become active. Just moving the screen to the bottom so you can see the "Accept" does not work - you have to scroll the text-in-the-box

I also had a second "Accept" that just pops right up

Did you click on that purple down arrow? It should take you to the bottom of the text in the box and activate the Accept

The word "provision" may be far from the last word in the text box - I don't remember what the entire box said

The purple down symbol should go away once you reach the last of the text

Provision is the last word..Touching the arrow doesn't do anything once you are at the bottom. No problem with a J3 Prime phone we use as a tablet, 2 Samsung tablets and one Alcatel tablet.

I uninstalled the app and re-installed it. Nothing changed. I guess it just doesn't like this phone.. 😣I uninstalled again and decided to use WOL instead. No problem..I still have my tablet. Thanks for trying to help me!:D
