My experience is that things miraculous occur frequently but are usually dismissed by people.

I just recently have seen an answering of prayer which I see as Miraculous and give praise to Jehovah.

I was scheduled at work to work on Sunday October 6th which is our 1 day assembly. This happened before I was aware of it and therefore had to make arrangements with coworkers to trade the date .

I prayed with a certain degree of confidence that Jehovah would cause the date to be traded.

Two coworkers offered to trade the date . I then traded that date but was obliged to works the following Saturday ( a meeting day ) and would have to miss the regular weekend meeting. Thanking Jehovah for once again helping me.

Here is werein this really becomes so much more. Today my Manager Texted me that she really didn’t need for me to work on Saturday and SINCE SHE KNEW SATURDAY was my regular meeting day if I wished I could work the Thursday before instead ( not a meeting day ).

So NOT only did trusting in Jehovah result in having the date of the 1 day assembly cleared but ALSO Jehovah made sure that I would not have to miss the weekend meeting!!

Thanks and Praise be to Jehovah the hearer  of Prayer and to His son who pleads our case before Him!

Yes ... those are called 'Jehovah moments' and even IF his hand isn't in it - he deserves the praise.

Like you, I have had many Jehovah moments over the years ... and try to make myself available to be used by Jehovah so others have Jehovah moments too.

When Loopy and I were on our way to a Convention in North Bay, Ontario Canada, her car's tranny blew.

Not only did Jehovah send a brother to rescue us, he sent a brother who was a TRANSMISSION SPECIALIST

and this brother happened to be TOWING AN EXTRA CAR BEHIND HIS MOTOR HOME.

Jehovah knew the effort we had put forth to go and he saw to it that we made it to that Convention.

On the way back to the USA, her tranny blew again because they hadn't fixed it right. :(

A tow truck guy who NEVER works on Sundays towed us from just south of Sudbury, Canada

all the way back to Sault St. Marie MICHIGAN USA and her dad came and picked us up.

Jehovah answered our cries for help, for sure!!! :D

But then, as others have mentioned above, Jehovah does this on a regular basis. :D

I did have Jehovah's hand many times in my life and I am sure it was Jehovah. Even now, I see His hand and blessing and I am very grateful for that. Having said that, there are some moments where things happen and I can not say if its from Jehovah directly but I still say thanks to Him because I want to show my appreciation for every good things that happens in my life. Hiya Guri - Hope you are well.

It IS difficult sometimes to be sure Jehovah's hand is in something, but I feel IF i have prayed with confidence that he hears me, just as Brother David did in the first post, and the answer increases my ability or circumstances to advance Kingdom truth, develop within me spiritual qualities or provides anything he has promised he will provide,  then I have no doubt that Jehovah is involved, even if you don't 'see' his hand as you might have in other instances.

On a personal note:

it's been a harrowing four years for my husband and I, due to losing via disfellowshipping, our two adult children in quick succession, (two weeks apart) ... this left us reeling for a good few years to be honest ... and even now, if we think too deeply on it, we know our hearts are still broken. But, this is where it gets interesting ... it's like when you lose someone in death, the initial support is amazing, everyone rallies, and they truly do care about your loss, but they have lives too, and they get back to their lives, and you are left alone with your grief.

That isn't a bad thing .. because it gives you time to process things - to accept things, to put them in their correct place. But it can be and is lonely ... and for us, that's where we experienced the most Jehovah moments, they were so profound that they gave us strength to not just carry on, but to find JOY in our ministry ... and allowed us to be used for the benefit of others.

I find this a common thread with many members on jwtalk, they've used their bad times, to get up, move forward and help others ... Jehovah moments help us to do this. When Tom and I look back on the last four years, even when there seemed to be just dark clouds, Jehovah was there all the way through, he was there providing YOU brothers and sisters from jwtalk, from our congregation, and he showed his hand in small things - each time Tom and I took the correct direction - it was like he was there ... we are who we are today, because Jehovah answered our prayers in very obvious ways.

I'm telling  you all this, so when things go wrong, and they will if they haven't yet, take time out to see how Jehovah is working on your behalf, he won't abandon you, he WILL fortify you as he has done to us and millions others.

What a lovely thread Brother David - thank you for starting it.

Sis Mandi.. @Stormswift

You may not realise how encouraging it is to see others coping successfully, despite so much pain.. But.. Acknowledging Jehovah's living assistance in the fight.

If no one ever had these things, or worse, didn't succeed.. ; where would the good example come from, or the confidence to have the courage to try to cope and rely on Jehovah?

I'm sure a fellow sufferer, who knows something of what you go through, is strengthened by someone who can really sympathise '.

Good for you for sticking it out! I admire you all very much.

Oh believe me Brother Alan,

Faith is contagious, if it weren't for others standing firm as they did, both here online and in my own congregation, we may not have had the courage to do so either.

You see, all the brothers and sisters in Russia and other countries, are giving us all examples of faith, worthy of imitation ... it's part of being a witness of Jehovah - to stand firm and help others do so too.

My Dad, who wasn't a witness, said to me once, that a sacrifice isn't a sacrifice unless it hurts ... giving up your children to the world is the most painful things and many of us are enduring this very test.

Thank you sister Mandi.

I don’t have unrealistic expectations about the respond on my prayers.  I know Jehovah is loving father and he acts in best interest for us.  I also know that Jehovah doesn’t protect every single individual worshippers of him miraculous way. I  also know that in our life can happen anything, literally anything and we may even face death, terminal health problems or something bad and I wouldn’t want to blame Jehovah for it.

I am always grateful to Jehovah no matter what happens in my life. That is how I feel at the moment and I hope I will always feel this way.

Trust in this Brother. Jehovah knows how to reward those who are faithful to Him even better than we ourselves. I have had several tests of my Faith and resolve in the last three years which nearly shot the horse out from under me. But I chose to trust in Jehovah even when in some cases Nothing made sense. Including a test through the Blood ( twice ) issue within my family and my work( more on this later).  A test through imperfections of men. And several smaller test which hung from these like bats on the ceiling of a cave.  But through all of these I have seen some incredible and quite unexpected Jehovah Moments and come to appreciate how His Organization can be a massive source of support.

Think about this : all those faithful ones imprisoned in Eritrea probably would have been released if they denounced Jehovah. I cannot imagine twenty years in prison under those conditions UNLESS Jehovah was really showing His might through them.  Their Jehovah Moments must be a daily event!

If you get in a group of long-time pioneers, you can hear stories of happenings in their lives that will cheer you for a long time.  Most of them have a car, clothes or food story to tell.

My favorite was a car (automobile tires) story from when my wife and I were first married.  I have told the story before so I will let others relate theirs for now.  Treasure your intimate relation with God and Christ.  The experiences you have now will sustain you during the Great Tribulation to come...❤️

I have numerous stories about answered prayers.

1. I asked Jehovah to give me strength to go back to His organization because I couldn't do it on my own.

2. I asked for a change of job because  it was emotionally and physically stressful.

3. When someone whom i trusted broke my heart, a sister  and her friends suddenly invited me for a dinner. We had a great time together. She doesn't know that shes being used by Jehovah.  Yes even for trivial matters, Jehovah comforts us.

4. Even the unspoken desire of my heart, He made a way to grant  them.

Let us confident that in due time Ephesians 3:20 will be fulfilled.

I have an experience I’d like to share in seeing Jehovahs Hand at play, this was actually of one the reasons why I came in the truth later on in my life. Well actually a couple of things, but that experience was a major one.

So this experience happened before coming in the truth, this was back in the early 90s maybe late 80s. My Mom had just gotten in the truth then but I didn’t, being baptized as a Roman Catholic and living with my father, both my Mother and Father had been divorced due to my mother coming in the truth then.

So the experience goes like this.

One day my mother and I had gone to visit my uncle up North of Montreal as he was building his house there. So while we were visiting him, my mother decided she wanted to go for a hike in the afternoon and so we both go and started to head to the forest area, about an hour into our hike and on a hiking path, a wild dog (Pitbull or Rottweiler size type dog) was coming down a path heading towards us, the dog had seen us and started to come towards us growling and had the expression that he was ready to attack us. As the dog is getting closer and closer, i was standing there scared and froze while my mother calmly walked to the side of the road and started to pray to Jehovah, I was standing there watching her pray and saying to myself oh right prayer but I didn’t pray I just stood there and so I was there watching the dog as he’s coming closer and also watching my mother pray, and watching the dog and my mother back and forth like watching a game of tennis. The SECOND my mother said Amen and her head lifted up, this dog INSTANTLY and I mean instantly, stopped growling and turned and dog ran away whining with its tail between its leg. I was in total Shock and in disbelief, even my mother was in shock at what she saw. Needless to say our hiking trip did end at that very moment.

Its not a story I’ve shared with many people, but happy to share it here.

I can truly say, I have yesterday, I wrote a letter to my boys (ages 19 and 20), my oldest struggles with a lot of reasoning as he is a deep thinker, not necessarily a bad thing but can be at times, I said in these letters about how much their father and I love them, and just want the best for them and in my oldests one I expanded on some of the situations we had previously discussed, and when I got home from work yesterday he was so much happier and a different person almost.  But the biggest shock or excitement was, my youngest, who lives on his own with his girlfriend and little girl, and he has not attended meetings for years now, I wrote to him how much we cared for him and that how things are changing so much, and please heed the warnings now, I told him a bit about what we have discussed recently at the watchtower studies and what is coming up.

I prayed to Jehovah for him to open their hearts and minds, I told my boys to please read these slowly and just to think of things.  And today my youngest told my husband he is thinking of coming to the Sunday meeting, for him this is huge, it shows Jehovah can draw those ones back.  I am so happy that I wrote those letters now and asked for Jehovahs help to get them to think, I know it may not be smooth sailing from here, but its a first step.

He was also at the court house today sorting out a personal matter with his father and he was complaining about the police, my husband just said to him, we wont always have them you know, and he told me that his face changed and you saw him thinking about it.  Its so true, when in the NW we will have no worries, stress, depression or Police 😀 so hard sometimes to think about how different it is actually going to be, the stress that will be taken away that we didnt even know we had, so cant wait to be there.

Over a period of almost 50 years I have prayed three times for Jehovah to help me then and there and he answered each time. I was out in service the three times and I'd like to relate the first two.

I was a young pioneer, struggling with Spanish in a border town in Guatemala on a return visit on a young people.  He was the local "judge" or justice of the peace and they both were ardent Bible readers but very oppionated and misguided.

From an assortment of various Spanish translations he proceeded to prove that "Jehovah" was a different and lesser personage than "God".  It was utter confusion and I felt totally out of my depth so I sent out an SOS to Jehovah.

It was breathtaking how quickly my mind cleared and by the time he concluded his argument I was able to point out that Psalm 83:18 says that Jehovah is the most high, meaningthere is no higher God.  So he must be the same most high spoken of otherwise.  It was such a simple explanation that it was almost ludicrous how difficult it was for him to accept it.

A few years later, on my side of the border, I was driven to send out another urgent appeal for help.  Again it involved the Divine name. I was invited to speak to a small group of people in the rurals but one young man forbade the use of the NWT and insisted on distributing copies of the King James.  His intent was to prove that the Lord is God's name because it seriously outnumbers the mention of Jehovah in the KJ. Then he proceeded to read some impressive texts in the name of the Lord and called down curses on me for altering the Bible.  I needed help and it arrived right on time!

While he was ranting I sat calmly turning the leaves of the KJ he had thrust into my hands, praying as I did so. Suddenly, my attention was caught by the explanatory notes in the back and under the heading TETRAGRAMATTON the KJ provided me with the explanation I needed. It turned out to be the only copy present to contain such notes.

It was amazing how he just couldn't absorb what I read out even after I did so several times.  Everyone else did. Even his Mom got so embarrassed and called out for him to shut up and actually explained to him what I had read.

Except for one other time, I've had to wait patiently for Jehovah to answer my prayers and a few times the answer has even been "no" but that's ok.  I want high will to be done.

Brother Carl, your story reminds me of one a sister told me.

She had (still has) and a verbally and emotionally abusive husband, but one day he got violent.  I don't know if he had been drinking, but he grabbed a knife and held it up as if he was going to stab her.  She of course , silently prayed to Jehovah as the name of Jehovah is what enraged him, so he's standing over her with a knife and when she prayed not only did he drop the knife as if it had been knocked out of her hand, but for no apparent reason turned and limped (there was nothing wrong with his legs) LIMPED silently out of the room.

I like to think if Jehovah didn't send Hezekiahs angel he sent that angels kid brother who knocked the knife down and kicked him in the "back regions" for good measure!

Yes, I have had prayers answered - sometimes within seconds - other times much longer.

One on occasion I was so upset over a missing cat I pleaded with Jehovah to help me find it or for the cat to find us.

As soon as I finished praying - there was the cat!

On another occasion - far more important - my mom was in Nassau County Medical Center (East Meadow, Long Island, New York) with blockage to her heart - they would not operate without blood.   I prayed to Jehovah to give us and our cardiologist (Dr. Naidu) wisdom.

Dr. Naidu first sent me to Mt. Sinai Hospital, Manhattan, N.Y.C. with her angiogram - to the head surgeon there.   He refused to accept my mom and said my mom should "get ready to meet her maker."  That was after 1 week clinging to life.

A week later Dr. Naidu sent us to the head surgeon at Lenox Hill Hospital, Manhattan (New York City) - Dr. Subramainian (sp?).   He accepted my mom.

Now, Mt. Sinai had accepted many of our brothers and sisters for bloodless surgery while Lenox Hill had consistently rejected us for virtually any surgery without blood.

So, my mom was sent by ambulance around 2 AM and had surgery very early (7 AM?) before the hospital administration realized what was happening.

Before this surgery I prayed, not for Jehovah to save her life - that would have been selfish.   I prayed for Jehovah to open the way for others of us to have bloodless surgery at Lenox Hill.

My prayers were answered - my mom's surgery was a success despite her low blood count.

There are so many other examples- like for 10 years praying for a wife - but not being answered until I actually supplicated Jehovah in tears.

Edit: that was in the spring of 1991.

OK, my mom's surgery was 1991.

My wife and I were married in 1982 - 10 years after I started prayed for a wife.

Jehovah answered - but not in the way I hoped or expected - anyone want me to post the experience in detail?

In short - I was in love with a sister who was starting to study with my wife to be.

Its a long story but thank Jehovah for answering my prayers!
