Oh boy.  You know that WT we will study this summer?  It says that prophecies would be overlapping.  Probably, because of the suddeness and how quickly things will be developing.  EX: Corona virus, peace in the middle east.  USA and Afghanistan signing the peace deal, and who knows what else is coming. And now, this.

This happened in Washington State.  There are two others at this facility who are confirmed to have coronavirus.  Others have symptoms and will be tested but it might be cold or flu.  

 

The facility where the man was a resident has issued a statement

I live in the middle of the middle of nowhere and yet

today I could have been infected with the Coronavirus.

 

Although I am officially retired from the Fire Department,

the other firefighters asked me to help with an annual fundraiser,

selling Brats, Hotdogs and Chili in our FireHall.

 

One of our firefighters is married to a woman from the Philippines,

and she just flew in from Tokyo last night and he picked her up at our local

airport.  Of course, he didn't mention she had just flown in from Tokyo until

after we'd all been working with him in close quarters in the kitchen for a few

hours.

 

As contagious as this virus seems to be, exposure is inevitable.  

 

To borrow Michael Janitch's motto:  (Dutchsinse)

Works for both earthquakes and pandemics.

 

I went to the meeting today wearing a mask.  

I explained to the brothers and sisters there

that I had come in contact with a man

whose wife had just flown in from Tokyo.  

 

I asked if I should stay or go home and listen in via the phone tie-in.

 

They waved goodbye and told me to use the phone tie-in.

 

The elder who also advised I leave,

without even turning in my service time, 

was the one who read 'the' letter after the meeting.  

 

My hubby chuckled that I had made the 60 mile round-trip drive for nothing.

 

I felt the risk was extremely low and that I would have been okay

seated by myself in the back or in the library, but I was out-voted.  

 

Always better to err on the side of caution.

You know? I've been pondering worst case scenario world wide.

 

While we don't know the direction or outcome of this novol virus as yet - there simply hasn't been enough time to compare in hindsight with other events ... what I do see, is most of us will first be effected by economics.

 

And here ... I want to thank all our brothers and sisters in Venezuela for showing us how to endure with dignity and faith and courage. Thank you for showing that we can do it too - no matter how bad it gets economically. Their trust in Jehovah, their record breaking service and their smiles despite hardship really touched the hearts of myself and my husband. We were so proud to have been able to support a few in a very meagre way - and I know our God is a God who equalizes beautifully those who stand firm in their faithful course.

 

Whatever lies ahead for us all, (and my fear is losing internet connection while isolated i'd hate not being able to keep in touch) .. we know though we can bear it because our God does not ask of us anything that we can't bear. I'm just going to keep in routine spiritual, daily, housework and have time to really enjoy ourselves if we are contained ... I'm going to play those original songs on loud speakers and I'm going to think how we are all walking towards the new system ... don't let this world get us down ... this isn't our home ... our home is in the New System ... things haven't changed  as far as Jehovah supporting the loyal.  By ourselves we ae nothing and we would fail ... but Jehovah has given us his spirit and the unity of his organization - together we will succeed.  Posting this gives me strength ... I hope it does to someone else too.
