A story about Jehovah using a spider to save a brother may be circulating on social media again.

If you receive a copy of this experience through social media, please do your own research before sharing it.

Our CO shared this with us at an assembly a few years or so ago.  Thank you for your research brother Richard.

Apparently this spider saved baby Jesus, saved King David, saved a US Marine in Japan in WWII, saved a young boy in north Africa,  saved a soldier in India and now saved a brother.

I found another one. Apparently a prince in Eritrea was saved by a spider too...

Sadly, the same goes for those circulated "encouraging" stories/images. Originally they were made by the worldly using using "LORD" or "GOD", brothers will change it to JEHOVAH and passed on to friends.

Last convention season, we received an image cartoon of a family appeared to be watching on an spiritual program on their TV at home. it has a caption "Enjoy our virtual convention!", something like that. Found out that it was drawn by a mormon artist depicting their own program. 😟

I remember a while ago I read Jehovah was using a mouse to feed a brother crumbs of bread in prison and using a pig in Russia to keep the solders away from the publications. Jehovah can uses any creature to fulfill his purpose or helping others in need. IONK!! IONK!!

I do not know if these stories are genuine or not. But I feel it is not weird that such “stories” are widely in circulation not just among Jehovah’s Witnesses, but also the Christendom itself. After all, the story with almost exactly the similar premise appears in the Bible already:

(1 Kings 17:6) 6 And the ravens were bringing him[E·liʹjah] bread and meat in the morning and bread and meat in the evening, and he drank from the stream.

Wouldn’t it be best to use God’s words to teach and encourage our brothers, anyway?

A good story is hard not to share. We're JWs, we're trained in sharing these titbits.

In fact, I heard another story on this site. But the story was hard to verify so I never shared it myself.

Then this morning my aunt sends me this.

If anyone speaks the language to verify the subtitles, I'd be grateful.

These guys resemble Lucas, the spider.  If a spider could save someone, I'm sure it would be Lucas.

I thought they were Halloween spiders and i was wondering why Greg had pictures of them....🤔

Most Australians are unfamiliar with Halloween. It is seen as an American thing. I can see how these colours can be read as a Halloween item, but down here spiders are just another thing trying to kill you...

It was in a biography of a Greek brother. I don’t have this book at home but my mum does, I’ll try to post it later when I get it.

🙏 Thank you! 🙏
