A random thread of absolute randomness...

We had a very modern house when I was growing up. Everything in the house was voice activated. My dad could sit in his chair and voice activate the dishwasher, the TV, the lawn mower.

All he had to do was tell one of us kids to do it. 🤣

I am now reading the thread "Zoom, Skype Technical Q&A here:"

Reminiscing with delight, the beginning of the Zoom era. I already fear I will miss it. Not the beginning, oh well, maybe the beginning too

I guess this is another sign of getting older.

I had minor surgery on my left ear last month and I have been wearing a bandage on it for over a month. I have attended nearly every in-person meeting, I have given several parts and conducted the meeting for service each week. The bandage is not highly visible but it is visible.

Not a single person has said a word about the bandage.

Is it so common for older ones to wear bandages that no one bothers to ask about them? Are bandages added to the list of things old men wear along with glasses, hearing aids and wrinkles?

I'm a little disappointed. I had several 'stories' ready to explain the bandage and I didn't get to tell a single one of them...:lol1:

Nice one. My response would be to practise on someone else, not yourself....

Next story...? Playing Peter in a live drama and slipped...?
or something else?

Story #2

We have a bird of paradise bush that attracts a lot of hummingbirds. I was pruning it and apparently made a hummingbird upset, he decided to use my head for a dartboard. The funny thing is that now i crave red sugar water....🤔

Hummingbirds are very territorial, i have been nearly attacked several times. OTOH, last week a hummingbird decided to take a shower while i was watering the plants with a hose end sprayer.

I went fishing for the first time in a long time, I'm a little out practice. I tried a nice overhead cast and I apparently had too much line out. Those hooks are sharp...

Man found dead in gator-filled lake while searching for frisbees in Florida

A man died searching for Frisbees in a lake at a disc golf course where people are warned by signs to beware of alligators, police in Florida said Tuesday.

The unidentified man was looking for flying discs in the water and "a gator was involved," the Largo Police Department said in an email Tuesday. Emergency crews say it happened at John S. Taylor Park.

Can you read the sign?

Spoiler

Gators cannot be tamed and feeding them can result in them mistaking a handout! Florida law prohibits the feeding or molesting of Alligators !!

This is such a random thought.

It's been a very cool spring, the weeds in the garden have taken over, the rain never quits. It's depressing. Tonight, after meeting, I took my dogs potty, and it's warm. I had to take off my coat. Oh my goodness it's warm. I love that. Now I can be outside, getting rid of weeds and slugs. Yay summer. Bring it on! Cucmber time!!

Sorry if I'm boring but I like simple things, love simple life.

At the meeting tonight a brother text me that his computer was getting hot. It sounded like it was working hard so I asked him if he had lots of windows open. He said no, but I can go open my door.....and he proceeded to get up to do it!.

I called him and explained I meant windows on his computer!! 🤣🤣
