I just went to buy it on Audible and it says it cannot be found. I tried both total and author. Is it not available in Australia?

No, not yet. Not for me either, in fact. It's still a beta feature, so it's possible that it's only open to Amazon.Com. I'll give it another day and email Amazon for clarification.

Also if people are really desperate to have it read then you can use Alexa to read it to you from Kindle…. Again it’s an AI generated voice but it’s ok-ish Lol

After getting word from Amazon, apparently it's not available anywhere but Audible/Amazon.com; and least while in beta.

 

Annoying to me as well, as I'm an AU shopper, but I'll admit the bulk of my readers are on the 'home' directory.

Doesn't look like it. It's a beta feature, but it's annoying for me too, as I'm an Aussie shopper too. I don't even have a 'preview file' beyond the editor.

I use Moon Reader Pro and it has a fairly decent voice reader, or it uses Android default voice reader. I am using LineageOS 22x which is a debloated Android 15 on my Samsung t720 s5e,

Try it out. Not sure if non pro reads outloud or not.

There are other readers that have voice readers built in.
