JW.ORG: 1090 languages and growing!

Just found an interesting language Rusyn (Carpathian). Sounds like a mix of Russian and Ukranian and I think my grandmother spoke this language. But I've never heard the word Rusyn. Caleb speaking this language reminded me of my childhood.

The language catalogue in the Windows version of the JW Library app lists a total of 1370 languages (including 103 sign languages). English (Nigeria) is not on that list, while the  three flavors of Chhattisgarhi are numbered 1318, 1319 and 1335.

Actually the very same 1023 language count listed in the language selector on the web site is less than the actual number of languages, because last year there was an announcement that the language count adds one language having several scripts once once (e.g. Serbian has both Latin and Cyrillic), while MEPS has separate language entries for each script variant (SB and SBO in case of Serbian). If you take the list and count each entry, you get 1049 languages.
