No basements here, time to revise that Go bag I guess. This image description had me thinking about the elderly and infirm, we don't know how all this will play out in the moment and that we need to rely on Jehovah.

A'm I understanding that friends are unable to pull up the October Study Edition Watchtower?

I pulled up the magazine once I heard it was available .....and I have been sitting at my desk

reading it....WOW....this is truly food at the proper time!

Wow i I just saw this new wt and it's making me nervous knowing how close we are I haven't been to my meeting for a least a month cause I had bad depression and anxiety.

It seems that, while the Oct WT is available on the JW.org site (https://www.jw.org/en/publications/magazines/watchtower-study-october-2019/), it does not yet show up in JWLibrary on either my PC (Windows) or my phone/tablet (Android) - I cannot speak for IOS

 

BTW - posted on 6/27 @ 6:58 PM (same time zone as NY)

I'm sorry you've been feeling so bad halfspanishlee. I also suffer depression with anxiety, it's comforting that the Bible says to "speak consolingly" to the depressed, not chastise us as though depression is spiritual weakness. I hope it's ok my sharing this: the way I've always viewed it is that at the KH we get Holy Spirit, not just spiritual food but the Holy Spirit, and that's what keeps us in the truth. Honestly I've often been so messed up at the Hall that I've taken in none of the Spiritual Food, but Holy Spirit has enabled me to hold on by my fingernails. So I would encourage you to try to keep attending the meeting's,  even if you feelyou get nothing from it you still get Jehovahs spirit. Agape

A lot of things I picked up from this, but the main thing is on the UN turning against religion. Once again they reiterated it will be Jehovah's one thought... It leads me to see. All these things in the news that show they're fed up on religion. The sexual abuses, the gay stuff. It's all to be sidetracking, and speculative. But ... reading this I don't think it matters. Because while it shows they have reason to hate religion, that's just it, it shows they have reason to be irritated, not ban it. Banning isn't their thought, it's a thought they will conclude as if out of nowhere. Not a lead up. At least, that's what I got out of this. I see it now as more of a "aha!" moment they suddenly have.

We are all different but we have to be there regardless of sickness that we have.. Holy Spirit will lift us up.

With some depressions it becomes impossible, and we should not put more pressure on them than necessary. For some, it feels a lot worse afterwards. Instead, we remind them that Jehovah has promised to take care of all of his faithful servants, even if an illness prevents them from attending the Kingdom Hall regularly.

Ok yes.. Im not putting pressure...Thats why I said we  are all different.... You have less sun in the area thats one factor... The environment too.. People here are often smiling even life is hard.... When one is lonely here, they seek company.. There, people usually isolate themselves more.. Im not stereotyping but I just noticed that to  my western friends.. 

 

And there are many other factors as well... clinical depression in which u need to take medicine...  childhood background... major changes in life... etc.

 

But wheres the best place to be when we feel bad then? .. I hope all khall has audio tap meetings..

I work with a big bank and do also play golf some days with work friends. Do I need to think about my job perhaps because banking and finance is a big part of Babylon the Great. It make you think.
