Wormwood - Oh double yuk. 🤢 Some used it to stop Thumb Suckers!   May be if it works for those Suckers it will work on these corona suckers. 🤢😲😷.

Come to think of it. It didn't work on my one niece. She would suck it off ( she sucked 2 fingers instead of thumb ) and ask for more. 🤢🤢🙈

Guess she never had any parasite problems!  Lol

Thats what wormwood is generally recommended for. I’ve never heard it used specifically for viruses.
Oil of oregano on the other hand....

Our family has hardly ever used meds. I don’t think my kids ever have had an antibiotic, I know my youngest hasn’t.  We use remedies at home. You can bet I’d throw my arsenal at the rona first and fast!

Madagascar’s President Andry Rajoelina tries Covid-Organics at a launch ceremony in Antananarivo on 20 April. Several other African leaders have expressed an interest in the unproven treatment.

Well, they do have Covid-Organics!  It's been touted as a successful remedy, and the African nations are jumping on board because they are skeptical of Western medicine.  But there are issues with this approach, even if it does kill the virus, because it affects the efficacy of current malaria remedies.

So, probably not the way to go.  Just using one component that may work affects something else.  Humans just don't have the answers, again.

There are almost 30 million people in Madagascar. If they have less than 200 cases, that means testing virtually doesn't exist.

If they had a few thousand of cases, very little deaths, and like a 99 percent recovery rate, I'd probably believe a cure exists there.

Eh, If you round up one could get 30 million. What's 3 million people anyway? 🤣

From viewing USA ABC world news, to see what was going in Northern California and Texas was crazy with the mass gatherings going on. I guess within 3 weeks there will be a spike in new covid-19 cases.😞

Yeah, that's unfortunate but you're correct. However, I would like to see governors place more of their attention more toward (1) protecting nursing homes, and (2) indoor transmission. I shared an article the other day from NY on my facebook that all new Covid cases there were due to infections passed among family members in the same home. I said that from the outset personally, that locking healthy people in the house with infected people with no ventilation had disaster written all over it.

I think if the weather permits, you want people outdoors as much as possible as the "droplets" ejected from you mouth quickly evaporate or is dispersed by the wind. Enclosed spaces allow them to just hang around for days until the virus is deactivated. People occupying those spaces can inhale the virus.

As far as nursing homes, both NY and Michigan have enacted polices that put healthy people at risk, with NY reversing their policy I believe just last week.

https://www.clickondetroit.com/news/local/2020/05/11/detroit-lawmaker-critical-of-gov-whitmers-nursing-home-executive-order/

So I think the focus has been too much on coming up with creative ways to place more rules and restrictions on people, instead of ways to protect the most vulnerable first.

It also makes no sense to me to ban gatherings of all sizes, while encouraging people to gather inside of enclosed, unventilated grocery stores by the hundreds in many cases, and since they're all filling their carts, they are shopping and waiting in line for hours, despite limiting capacity.

People simply go to grocery stores for recreation purposes - to get out of the house, because people are not being encourage to get outdoors where they can get some fresh air and sun and naturally physically distance.

Jakarta residents coming out in style, to bid a final farewell to their beloved McD restaurant situated in the city's main tourist thoroughfare.

The outlet is permanently shuttering up due to the renovations being carried out by the owners of the famous Sarinah complex. Many of the city's 10 million inhabitants are feeling nostalgic for this rendezvous place which started operation in 1991. Alas, corona is not so forgiving.

It will be permanent goodbye for many in a city, badly ravaged by the virus.

Unfortunately, the need to eat is not optional.

Things might get very bad. I'm glad my household no longer has pets, it would be heartwrenching.

Well, firstly it appears they are outdoors and you can see masks being worn by the people facing the camera, if you look closely. So I wouldn't say for certain that situation is a recipe for Covid clusters, but time and testing will tell.

All the evidence today points to indoor infection, what people are seemingly ignoring (not you). Pictures pop up daily from alleged "close quarters" crowds on beaches - these pictures most times are deceptively taken from a ground angle in which depth perception is heavily skewed, because for some reason, these people are in a race to make it seem like they care when they really favor endless lockdowns and "free" government checks.

I think its absolutely safe to be outdoors, even in relatively large numbers as long as preventative steps can be safely maintained. I just don't get the obsession with trying to lock people in their house by government and much of its citizenry. Being outdoors can prevent the spread of any communicable viruses, as this study of the Spanish Flu shows:

Quote

“Records from an “open-air” hospital in Boston, Massachusetts, suggest that some patients and staff were spared the worst of the outbreak. A combination of fresh air, sunlight, scrupulous standards of hygiene, and reusable face masks appears to have substantially reduced deaths among some.”

Bodington had noticed that people who spent their time indoors were susceptible to tuberculosis, whereas those who worked outdoors, such as farmers, shepherds, and plowmen, were usually free of the disease. He reasoned that patients should copy the lifestyles of those who appeared immune to tuberculosis. They should live in well-ventilated houses in the country and spend much of their time outside breathing fresh air. According to Bodington.”

And here's the link about indoor transmission:

Quote

“If you notice, 18% of the people came from nursing homes, less than 1% came from jail or prison, 2% came from the homeless population, 2% from other congregate facilities, but 66% of the people were at home, which is shocking to us,” Cuomo said.

“This is a surprise: Overwhelmingly, the people were at home,” he added. “We thought maybe they were taking public transportation, and we’ve taken special precautions on public transportation, but actually no, because these people were literally at home.”

Ohhh I know. We have a good pantry stocked up, and are fortunate enough to have a garden to grow fruits & vegetables. We also live near the countryside beside lots of farms, who grow organic produce and meat. We've grown potatoes, lettuce, zucchinis, berries of all kinds, etc.

Some actually refer to Covid-19 as a parasite! That is why some patients were given an anti-malaria drug..but it is interesting to read this article concerning Artemesia and viruses. I have used wormwood, grapefruit seed extract oregano oil, and olive leaf extract over the years when feeling ill..not knowing if I had a bacterium or a virus.

https://academic.oup.com/cid/article/47/6/804/325924 "The Antiviral Activities of Artemisinin and Artesunate" Interestingly, the bioactivity of artemisinin and its semisynthetic derivative artesunate is even broader and includes the inhibition of certain viruses, such as human cytomegalovirus and other members of the Herpesviridae family (e.g., herpes simplex virus type 1 and Epstein-Barr virus), hepatitis B virus, hepatitis C virus, and bovine viral diarrhea virus. Analysis of the complete profile of the pharmacological activities and molecular modes of action of artemisinin and artesunate and their performance in clinical trials will further elucidate the full antimicrobial potential of these versatile pharmacological tools from nature.

Study shows new coronavirus mutation appears stronger, more contagious

The coronavirus mutated into a stronger strain after the initial outbreak of the deadly global pandemic in China — and could do so again, according to a new study.

Scientists at the Los Alamos National Laboratory say that the new strain showed up in Europe in early February and quickly spread around the globe and into the US — and appears to be more contagious than the original one that emerged in Wuhan last year,

The Los Alamos team, working with scientists from Duke University and England’s University of Sheffield, identified 14 mutations in all

This was discussed many pages ago around April 22. Bro David brought the point out and I google searched for the exact article. It said about 33 at the time and the accompanying pdf file/download is very enlightening.
