Yes that’s the thing, they relaxed the rules, (even for just one day, Xmas day,) and now they are seeing the effects from it. Thank goodness they changed the relaxation to just one day instead of the five days they had planned. Can you imagine how many more thousands would be infected! 
A couple of days ago I was shocked when they announced 1,200 that died! But today it’s heartbreaking to see the numbers so high!
Behind every number is a person who has a family who are grieving. Very sad 😔

The point is simply about acknowledging that people connected to politics tend to have an agenda and often get involved in corruption of some sort or another.

Maybe we should check our sources a little bit better for political/religious ties and agendas..

Take this post as advice and not a statement. I have sat on it for a while before posting. 

 

I wish people would treat their choice and research on vaccines or medical treatments the same as blood fractions. In other words, it's nobody else's business what we decide. Nor is it our duty to inform others of our personal research. It's your personal research. I actually thought we were as witnesses specifically not to recommend medical advice to others. I'm seeing advice being given to others in other threads when nothing is known about those who may be listening to perhaps deadly advice. It's crazy. 

It should be remembered that if we pass our research on and it happened to harm someone then we are partly responsible for that harm. That does not take away from the listeners own responsibility for what they choose to do though. 

We should do research for ourselves or our family. Perhaps if someone asks our advice we could pass it on but only if your absolutely sure it is correct and you know all the facts and not just because you read it heard it or saw something about it. 

Here is a true story. My Father had stage 3 bowel cancer. Some brothers and sisters in the early days gave him all sorts of advice on what he should eat, what he should take, what will help, what they had read, what they had watched tc etc. 

He mentioned a few of those ideas to his surgeon. One thing in particular that he had been told would have sped up the growth of the particular type of cancer he had. It might have been OK for another type of cancer but most certainly not his.

He would not be here today if he had listened to the research and advice, no matter how well intentioned it was. 

Nobody was out to harm my dad but it could have been deadly advice.

I know that nobody is out to harm anyone by their suggestions but we have been encouraged time and time again to be very careful what is passed on. Some people can be easily led.

There were several well meaning friends who gave us advice also for my husband's cancer.  Sometimes they would send me articles, videos, etc, that had convinced them that the 'treatments' were "proven safe and effective".   Sadly, all of them would all have killed my husband years before the cancer did. This concerned me greatly because I knew there were brothers/sisters who would not have done their own research to see if the information was in fact true and safe.

Bottom line: If the pandemic is able to continue spreading in low-income countries, the virus has a greater chance of mutating and evolving into strains not covered by the first generation vaccines.  

The vaccine is really not going to be the solution they hoped for UNLESS it’s shared and distributed across the globe.

I was looking at this chart on the BBC Website.  The first wave lasted for about 3 months (March to June), then we had about 3 months (July to Sept) where cases were low, and it seemed like things were going to back to normal.  Then the second wave hit.  And it has hit hard. Number of patients in hospital with Co-Vid is double than that of the first wave.  And it has been with us for 4 months now (Oct to Jan), and will continue.

Masks outdoors is compulsory at all times in France , so 2 masks  make breathing  difficult .  It is a challenge if one is working all day (compulsory masks at all times in working environments here) and then can't take them off to get some fresh air on the way home.

 

Still , better safe than sorry.    In fact if one is good, two is better... maybe three or more is best!

So if we have a three year pandemic like the Spanish flu....possibly over 300 million infected over the three years. At a death rate of 2.9 percent, we are looking at deaths in the range of 8.7 million. 
 

that’s the entire population of Chicago or Tehran. Based on Wikipedia numbers.
