JW Broadcasting - October 2020

I have been focused on Saturday's Annual Meeting and I forgot to look forward to a monthly broadcast two days later (Monday. Oct 5th).  It will be very interesting to see if we can tell when it was recorded...you know...COVID-19 and so on.

Last month was Br. Mantz hosting the Broadcast.  Does that indicate a GB member will host this month, the first broadcast of the 2021 Service Year?

The September Broadcast must have been recorded already within the pandemin (if the 3 months time delay is yet valid)

Also, we saw how they are recording during this time, on one of the GB updates... They doing it in a way that doesn't leave any clues

I'd rather have the most recent/up to date talks... given what we had in September...

That would be great. But they already use the January (or December?) JWB for the AM. But seeing it live would have been welcomed!

My opinion is that AM would not be live because of COVID, and also would not be via zoom or stream or whatever.

I think that AM is pre-recorded.

If it is true than it's logical that would be in jw broadcasting earlier than January.

We have AM in January broadcast because it was live in october and than need to be translated.

But this is only my opinion.

But, in my opinion it has to be a broadcast program that is hosted by a governing body member, to announce the theme.

Maybe. But a Self Control Convention in 2027 sounds kind of strange.

Maybe not...

We need self control in a lot of aspects of our christian life. Being politically neutral, not complaining or finding fault, not developing a spirit of independence..

It is very hard in the current conditions to maintain a properly strict level of neutrality.  But I am thankfully that we are so often reminded of its importance.  If we are not united, we cannot be one as Jesus said we have to be.
