The last convention was in Africa yesterday, so it appears that all of the convention videos are available on jw.org now.

I love the back-story of how the GB tried hard to sell the Ramapo land without success.

 

And, the delays actually resulted in more design changes and an overall better product.  

 

That fits my pet expression:  Bad news is good news.   When something negative happens, but it turns into a positive that wasn't expected.  👍

And what's funny- they had that land since 2007-2008 but couldn't get permission to build on it. That's why they bought land in Warwick and built there.

 

Now many years later, and trying to sell it- NOW is Jehovah’s time to use it. It's breathtaking, really.. 🥲

But in his talk he consistently said the "Destruction of Babylon the Great".

 

If I remember correctly, the Fall of BtG occurred in 1914-1919. When the Kingdom was established in heaven and false religion lost it's grip on the anointed searching the scriptures.

 

Whereas the Destruction of BtG will actually be the start of the GT.

 

Anyone else notice that?

His words were "Destruction" despite how the graphic was labeled.

I have thought that the destruction of false religion worldwide may be enough to wake people up, especially with JW's still actively preaching.

 

Although not mentioned by Br Jackson, after that, there may be a supernatural display of "the Son of man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.

 

These earthshaking events may cause some to support the Kingdom at the last minute.

 

But those who do so, will have to experience the attack of Gog.   A very difficult time for all.

It is also significant how brother Jackson, speaking about the judgments that Jesus hands out at the end of the Great Tribulation, confirms what many brothers and sisters have already known for a long time. Even on this forum, many have believed for a long time that "the merciful Judge of all the Earth will do what is right". We just received confirmation from the GB (although it would be wise to remember our publications have often shown in the past that we do not know the final judgment of individuals.) . But I don't see any boasting, nor "it's about time" kind of statement among us. If we sometimes disagreed to some extent on the subject, it's time to rejoice together once again!

 

and the idea some have been broodind that those who die before the great tribulation will get a resurrection but those who die during it will not.. that was a bit of an absurd idea wasn’t it?

Yes, the information given was incredibly faith strengthening. Didn’t it make us proud to be in such a forward moving organisation! We are hanging on for dear life, as the chariot swerves and manoeuvres for the benefit of Jehovah’s purpose. But it’s like a fun ride, exciting!

 

Definitely a landmark program 👍👍

 

Plus the love and camaraderie of our GB brothers makes us smile from ear to ear. Jehovah is such a happy God 💗
