I saw this question in a status update and thought - this would make a good poll!

note: this is in the "members only" section of our site - so feel free to reply as well.

PS: it only let me put in 10 options; so, I combined a few.

I commented about how, even if your mate irritates you, seeking consolation elsewhere is definitely not the solution. No one of the opposite sex wants to hear about how unhappy you are- talk to your mate about it,  Jehovah, or the elders, if necessary. Leave others out of it. 🤨

The WT conductor thought it was a good comment...

We are pleased to inform you that two additional brothers have been appointed to serve as members of the Governing Body of Jehovah’s Witnesses: Brothers Gage Fleegle and Jeffrey Winder. Both brothers are anointed Christians who have a long history of loyal service to Jehovah. Brother Fleegle began his full-time service in 1989 and Bethel service in 1991. Brother Fleegle has served as a helper to the Service Committee of the Governing Body. Brother Jeffrey Winder began his full-time service in 1986 and Bethel service in 1990. Brother Winder has served as a helper to the Personnel Committee of the Governing Body. We thank our heavenly Father, Jehovah, for raising up such faithful men to share in the work of the Governing Body. We pray that Jehovah will richly bless Brothers Fleegle and Winder and their wives!

How encouraging it was to be together IN PERSON in the auditorium for this event!

2021 Governing Body Update #10
We are glad to inform you that now over 99 percent of our worldwide Bethel family is vaccinated. Are you? Many of our brothers and sisters have had good results from being vaccinated.

2021 Governing Body Update #9
Would Jehovah allow the Governing Body, the helpers, missionaries, a huge percentage of the worldwide Bethel family, and other full-time servants to engage in practices or receive a COVID-19 vaccine that would be harmful? Surely Jehovah wants the brothers at world headquarters to continue providing spiritual food. He wants to make sure that the work continues at our branch offices and in the field. To do that, we have to be “in the land of the living.”

Vaccination is the key to resuming In-Person meetings
The Governing Body of Jehovah’s Witnesses announced that they have invited selected branches to participate in a pilot program to resume some in-person congregation meetings. The branches participating will select Kingdom Halls in areas where vaccination rates are high and infection rates are low.

2021 Governing Body Update #8
The Governing Body feels it's good and loving to share more statistics regarding vaccine safety, which "have been collected by our brothers, so we can trust these figures." PLUS, the 2022 Year Text is announced.

JWTalk is an internet forum, commonly called a discussion board. We're an online discussion site where people can hold conversations in the form of posted messages. Discussion boards differ from chat rooms in that messages are often longer than one line of text, and are permanently archived and available for reading.

A discussion board like JWTalk has a tree-like structure of forums and sub-forums that are designed to categorize various topics of discussion. Simply stated, a topic is a single conversation also referred to as a thread, and a forum is a folder or container that contains several topics that fall within a category. Each new discussion started is called a topic/thread and can be replied to by as many people as so wish. Participant have to register with JWTalk and subsequently log in to post messages. However, on most of our forums, users do not have to log in to read existing messages. Most of our forums are publicly visible, while just a few of them are members only.

The popularity of Social Media has impacted discussion boards in that new members to internet forums often don't think about how the various forums in the community act as categorizations for discussion topics. So in this post and the ones that follow, we hope to give some helpful explanation as to how we categorize threads here at JWTalk, so that when you decide to start a new topic for discussion, you will have a better understanding as to which forum you should post your topic.

Please continue reading to get a better idea of which topics belong in which forums...

How do you read the forums at JWTalk? - POLL
Out of curiosity, if you view JWTalk in a web browser like most people, how do you prefer to navigate to content when you arrive here? I know many people go straight to their notifications, but these poll options are for when you have no notifications or have already read them. How do you then go about checking on new topics and content on JWTalk?

About JWTalk.net - Jehovah's Witnesses Online Community

Since 2006, JWTalk has proved to be a well-moderated online community for real Jehovah's Witnesses on the web. However, our community is not an official website of Jehovah's Witnesses. It is not endorsed, sponsored, or maintained by any legal entity used by Jehovah's Witnesses. We are a pro-JW community maintained by brothers and sisters around the world. We expect all community members to be active publishers in their congregations, therefore, please do not apply for membership if you are not currently one of Jehovah's Witnesses.
