Updates to JW Library (iOS, Android, Windows)

An update to JW Library has been released for iOS and alike containing bug fixes.

The update fixed the crash-at-startup issue. So glad a fix has been provided and I was able to keep my library, annotations & more … :-)

Out of curiosity (since I've never owned an Apple product), do you have to clear the cache in apps like you do in Android when it acts up?

You can, but usually no.

Br. Jonathan, which update are your discussing.  My JW Library shows both the book and the Article Series as current and no updates pending?  I do not have a "pending" notice at the top of the menu either. Here are the screen clips that I just took....

It is not pending on my devices.

I think this is a bug

Some publications go in the pending updates tab and then take a long time to come back, however many times you try updating then

Whenever I can't get a publication to update, I just delete it and redownload it and voila`...it updates just fine.  👍

Enjoy Life Forever (the book) got updated in JW Library today (Windows version). I have no idea what is different in the new one. The last update for the pdf version was April 27.

Scrolling issue seems to be fixed in Beta 5. 😊

The app has not actually updated, but now includes 1/2 Thessalonians in Study Bible

I have today had a 118mb update to study bible on my app, but not sure yet what it includes

I looked to see if there were any more diamonds (study notes) and it doesn't go beyond 2 Thessalonians. Maybe an update to previous study note materials.

It looks like it added an introductory video to Joshua. It probably added research material to Joshua too...

Open the Bible, look in upper right corner of the menu.  Select the "download" icon and then when the media box opens, click the "check" box.  If there are files you need to download, choose the ones you want.

You can also go to "Publications" from the menu ... at the top will be some headings

 

 

 

If there are any updates available for any publications you have downloaded (this includes the Bible) you will also have a heading that says "Pending Updates" just past "BY TYPE    DOWNLOADED".  Clicking on that heading will take you to a screen that shows which ones need updating

 

 

Since mine are all up-to-date I cannot show you that heading since it does not show unless you need to update something

Thank you Br. John..  The suggestion to check the publication section for updates manually is important.  But remember that the "pending updates" in the publications area will not show updates for the various Bibles you have installed.  You have to go to "Bibles" for that.

Mine had the recent update for the Study Bible in the "Pending Updates" section ... that is where I updated it from
