Hi everyone!! My name is Ruben and I’m from Portugal. Some years ago I created an account at centralprint.net/jwtalks in order to download and listen some great talks from this website. At that time I was serving in the english field, so the talks became quite helpful to help me improve my english. All these years later, I lost track of my account. I forgot username and password. Does anyone know how can we reach Bro Klemetti and get a new password? I tried to contact him via e-mail. But with no answer so far. Thank you everyone

I use to get talks from him a long time ago but I haven't visited his site in years. There is so much information on jw.org that I just don't have time to listen to the older talks. Sorry, I can't help you...

Yes, I agree with Tortuga ...whoops...:facepalmpo2: I mean brother Richard.

I feel that currently there is so much produced by FDS on any subject, that is overwhelmingly sufficient for any project (personal study, ministry, talks)

The chariot is constantly moving forward, and I do find difficult to keep up with it.

Although older talks often contain points, or illustrations that are simply amazing ..I wish I had time to absorb All of it...:D

Man was created as an intelligent creature with the desire to explore and understand :)

Additionally, we received counsel some years ago against sharing those older talks. Many of those were intended for a specific audience at the time they were given. Many (if not all) of the brothers who gave those talks weren't comfortable with them being so widely distributed.

Regarding the brother in question, the last I heard he was asked to remove the site which he did. Unfortunately, he put up a mirror site without telling anyone, thus misleading the brothers. He was later disfellowshipped. Of course, this is all hearsay. YMMV. Even if none of that is true, I would still be careful about downloading anything that isn't from jw.org. There's more there than you'll be able to keep up with!

I've read some of his comments recently that are quite concerning. I have some of those talks, I've loved listening to them over the years, but the brother (if he's not dfs, as someone has suggested) definitely worried me with some bitter feelings.

I was looking for this too.. there was one talk, I actually had it on CD at one point since he visited a relatives hall. But I know it was on the central print site. I was trying to find the talk for a friend, I’m not sure if the name but he said if you keep doing what your doing, you’ll keep getting what your getting. Brother Feriance or something like that

I used to access this website a lot few years ago. There were certain talks that were extremely valuable to me when I was undergoing a long period of major depression and felt even less valued as a human being as I do today. Comforting talks with upbuilding and encouraging thoughts given by various brothers, such as Brother Iannelli, soothed my ravaged soul as I was trying to get through another day of intense anxiety and wish to die.

I never flaunted publicly with the fact that I was listening to these talks because of the generally negative opinion about spreading talks. A point written later in the KM (?) made this even more clear. However, I was for some time part of the Yahoo! group where the admin of the site periodically posted updates about new talks on the site. He did not always seem to be fully appreciative of the organization or some changes such as publishing of a new revised easier to read NWT rather than the more literal translation rbi8. I was very much put off by this because on teh Internetz it is not always to distinguish opinions from outright critical thoughts and apostate leanings. Hence, I HOPE that OtterWriter's hearsay as mentioned earlier in the thread would not be true, but then again, I am not really surprised if that is the case.

It is the Governing Body that has the responsibility to dispense spiritual food, not random brother with a website. No matter how good the talks might sound.

Gathering from the comments here made there are a few blurred opinions. There is a huge difference between spiritual food dished out, other resource material to support ones faith and a person's opinion, plus another huge divide is if you examine any relevant material or if you publish it.

Had an account on the site and it had material that will never be published by the FDS but still is helpful for rounding out ones faith. On the site was a recording of N. Knorr's 1942 talk "Peace can it last" the one major factor to point to that we belong to a spirit directed organization, would that help you in your ministry?

The 3 talks given by Ciro Aulocino The trial of J.C., The Death of J.C. and the Resurrection of J.C. points in these talks are still valuable in one's ministry and they will never appear anywhere accept in one's private collection. Again it is one thing to have references to build one's own faith it is another to publish it. Any time you publish you step into the shoes of the FDS.

We use resources from all different kinds of sources, don't we Google to find references to make a point? The translators in their Translator's notes have references from all different sources including Wikipedia but we don't publish it we use it to support our believes and teaching points. That is what I did with the material available on centralprint.net.

The Apostle Paul was very familiar with the material of his contemporaries as he cited in Acts 17 the words of a poet to support his ministry. Sometimes I am surprised by some comments as they are an indication of the strength of one's faith. Keep testing your own faith.

At whose table do you eat spiritual food? Do you trust the Slave to publish everything you need for your spiritual wellbeing? Or do you feel a need to look elsewhere?

The FDS would never use Wikipedia as a source of spiritual food. In fact, as a source, Wikipedia ranks very low, according to the GB committees. This is because anyone can edit it. We rather call up our mail people specialising in certain fields. At times we use Wikimedia items, though.

You didn't get the point I was making. No one disputes the origin of the spiritual food and who provides it. The GB are cooks and waiters and they prepare the spiritual food that Jehovah provides. My comments have nothing to do with the dishing out of spiritual food it all has to do with solidifying one's faith.

Do you know what Translator's notes are? Do you have an idea of what support goes into providing Translators with a rounded out picture of the material they need to translate from source to target language? Your comments show it is limited. In Leviticus and Deuteronomy the Bible speaks of a rock badger, that animal does not exist in India their translators have no idea what it is. Where do you think in the Translator's notes among many other references it points to for the Translator to get an idea of what a rock badger is? Wikipedia at times is used just as one of many sources to present a well rounded out picture NOT as a definitive source as the Writing department is very well aware of the alterations that can be made to the material on it's site.

Again, since this is about the centralprint.net site, my comments are NOT about the creation of spiritual food, but about rounding out ones faith to avoid being quickly shaken from ones reason.

This is just a kindly reminder to all members;

When you are going to use the phrase. 'Of course this is all hearsay'...  It is a signal ..... not to post the hearsay.

I happen to be very familiar with the packages the RTO’s receive for every publication. You might be interested in what the translators do when they do not have a specific name for an animal in their language: They get the Latin name from the HQ, using that name they can contact local specialists at, for example, a local university. Sometimes the animal doesn’t even have a native name. In such cases we might give it a native name together with the professionals.

Some material (not about the questioned website) is simply "historical".  For example, Br. Russell's Photo-Drama.  Our organization is never going to reproduce all 8 hours of this material.  It is out of date, incomplete and in some cases...simply wrong.  So if I have a digital copy of this historical material and someone I know is curious about what he said...I see no disrespect to our GB if is share it with that person.  It is like photographs of the baptism last week in the Watchtower.  I have other photos of early baptisms that were not published in this issue.  But they have historical interest so I feel free to share them.

A blanket condemnation by those on this site, of repeating information produced by our organization in the past needs to be considered in moderation.  I have personally been contacted by the organization to share some of this material with them (for use in libraries and museums and for instruction).  So the counsel is taken and applied.  If there is some material that you personally do not want to see or hear or have doubts, that is fine.  But others may want to see something like the house known as "Beth Sarim" and what it looks like today.  I follow the direction not to post it for "general distribution" as requested by the WBTS.  I only share with "friends who were unable to attend" (like the PhotoDrama) and request the file for "personal use".  May we all go in peace....❤️

Personally, I love some of these talks etc and actually have a lot of them. Over the years my ministry has improved greatly because of them. So I've been grateful. Sadly all the material uploaded to YouTube was then withheld and lost, so the brother was very upset because he hadn't kept copies. I've been concerned though since because his reaction was worrisome. Hopefully it hasn't rocked him too much. It's all been rather sad.

The impropriety of circulating recorded talks is not new, though ignored or unknown to to many, itt has been instructions for many years. Usually nothing is said about the practice until it gets out of hand. We had some counsel on this as far back as '60s.  COs and DOs have discouraged it several times. Recording for personal use has alwaysbeen acceptable, circulating talks has never been acceptable. I have wondered why the practice persisted, perhaps because like certain forbidden products there is always demand. Where there is a demand there is always a supplier.
