  1. News of the mundane. New kitty. Wandered in from the woods. A marble Bengal sort. Big one. Our three cats have sort of shut up the protestations. And, big kitty is gentle, actually trainable. Wish he could tell his story. Got him neutered, etc. No real name. We did not intend to get more animals. He picked us, though. And we both are really enjoying him. He is more like a dog then a cat!

Oh, snuggles was snuggie from time to time. We loved that little black kittie, but we have four sand boxes, cleaned twice a day. (House is two stories) and it was when her liver failed, and she died that all those really, really annoying, "mistakes" stopped. No longer do we have to do the search. For the smell, and out went throw rugs. Snugs had no excuse for her bad potty habits. We sort of want no reminders of those times.

There is the guy that we hire to help with the heavy...

Work. Snugs would pee where he sat. We have leather furniture, and with cats, it has to be covered.

  2. It’s a sad day for me. My sister has died. She’s resting now at last. In Jehovah’s perfect memory.

I will find time for tears, but, I just made a salad, and, it is time for service.

I think I’m afraid to start crying.

      My Dearest Bea,

I was sad to read the loss of your sister its difficult to loose a family member.  Family's are like a tree although there are many branches going in different directions and perhaps not all producing the best results , none the less it's still family and it's blood. We are forever connected by the roots we share the same DNA and in effect they will always be part of us. Soon Jehovah will finish off death forever, resurrect our loved ones and those who need a fresh start will have the opportunity to know Jehovah's love and goodness. Hang in there Bea you are a trooper and we love you

  3. I have a #3 talk next month. Bad enough. Gets worse. It's material on personal hygiene and grooming, and I am to be encouraging such to my bible student. Pray for me. And, my assistant, she is a regular one assigned to me, and I just never know what she will come up with. Also, one of my closest friends in the congregation. Should be interesting.

( There are 3 of us that sort of hang out. Two of us, minis #3 sis) discussed having her wear a mini skirt that night. We are all in our 70's!)

We had a guy who was studying the Bible and started bringing his girlfriend (who also started studying) and she dressed so outlandishly and immodestly - I felt bad for the sister conducting the study - she had to deal with this subject right off the bat!

The memorial talk was beautiful. It did not gloss over any thing, yet was warm and comforting. My worldly son was there, with his wife, and they were impressed.

I think the immediate family was flat out medicated. And I understand. Just almost beyond sadness.

  6. Face Book and family. Am starting to resent that is pretty much our communication. So, I am taking a leave of absence from FB for a bit.

Sort of hard. It ended up hpw I keep in touch with 2 of my kids. Actually, and what is going on in the comunity, to some extent. And friends I don't see hardly at all, but dearly love. Got myself in a pickle. It is my kids, and them settling for a FB association that has me going.

Can you block the bad association, I had to block some of my nieces and nephews, they were doing entirely too much! I also my settings very private that gives me a lot of control, I have no problems hitting the "block" button, should I feel so inclined.

I only show things to certain lists of people, ie: Close Acquaintances or family. So make sure you have those you only want to see your things in the right list.

  7. Prayers answered. Real specific. I signed up to aux. pioneer and my life ended up with multiple agendas. Crazy making. I prayed and prayed. We never go out on Mondays. A sister is visiting us, and, thanks to Jehovah, we spent a full day, down river, in the ministry. A real blessing. Now, I am okay!

  8. We bought a new TV. I don’t know the details, as it was my husbands idea.

I don’t know about the thing. I think it is too smart for us! It voluntarily pipes up with suggestions. While it is off! I think it’s smart mouth is called, “Brixie”.

It took a day and a half to get it mounted. Perfect. (Are you aware the 15 degrees this way, or that way is ideal?) That screen. We get it to the perfect degree, then it is not level. I kid you not.

My nightmare. More adjustments then I could keep track of.

I figured I’d have a nervous breakdown getting it set up. (I share the stress)

it took about an hour, and a phone call for one of the four components to be set up. It set up three of them itself. The components. That was an outright gift!

I figured hours and hours on the phone with the tech people.

I wade through such. My husband proves well enough for me. He doesn’t smoke or drink, and is a pretty private person. He really enjoys the thing.

Not complaining. Just stating facts. Yes, I have a good life, but he will find ways to challenge it with his getting things as perfect as he can.

Me? I want to plod along, doing what I do, and, I’m happy!

  13. My back is, “out”. Which means I can hardly get out of bed, and, there is no bending over. At all. And, pain.

Usually I know how it happened. Not this time. In service yesterday,, I was grateful to be put in a car with some bible studies.

This is the type of pain that no sort of pain numbing pill will work. I am hooked up to a TENS machine.

I got it because at the conventions, my back would hurt so bad, I wanted to cry. Again, pain pills will not work.

So, me and my little machine will be good friends until this is over.

(I always get scared that I’ve done something really bad to my back that will almost incapacitate myself.) So far...

    Sorry for complaining.☹️

Back, still not 100%. (If ever!) But, it is better. I am forced to have wonderful posture, still bending...not good. But, I’m still moving around, doing what I do, just slower, and more careful.

Not too bad, actually. I need to be more methodical anyway. Give thought to what I am doing.

    3. daydream

      daydream

I spend hours on my PC and like to slouch. Doing my back no favors. Then I'm out most days taking public transport and slouch some more.

The back problem started decades ago when I got baptised in the sea while I was having a fever. Then with my wet clothes, waiting to be transported back to the hotel, I caught rheumatism. My life went downhill from then onwards. My bible study conductor and her older brother put a lot of pressure on me to get baptised. I blamed them for my back problems. Both of them are dead. The sister from cancer and her brother from heart problems. The Society only recently brought out the fact that we should not force people to get baptised. 40+ years too late.

Suffering all these while with an Aspies husband in tow, life has not been a bed of roses. Sigh. Sorry for venting.

Come to think of it, Jehovah has given me many blessings. Like the many humble brothers and sisters in my non-English congregation. My heart overflows with joy. Must meditate on my blessings. Write it out in a book. What priceless gifts from on High.

    4. daydream

      daydream

Thank goodness, your back is on the mend. Take it slow and easy. As we grow old, our body starts to creak and groan with all sorts of pain. Just be mindful of not overdoing things. Relax and learn the correct way to breathe. I just found that out recently. Woe is me!

  15. Well, I’m up to Sharing this, now.
A few weeks ago, we lost our Hop-Along. (That is a bitter story)

We both doted on him. He was a beautiful three legged kitty. It was those three legs that did him in. He could run fast enough.
We have two new kittens. A long hair tuxedo kitty, and, his bro, a tabby, tailless short hair.
They are rescues. Born under a bridge.
Bob, (no tail) thinks all is well. The black and white is more feral. And, glares a lot. But he does not live inside the recliner anymore. They are in the cat tree!

I have misgivings. This was not my choice.   But, I will have a grand time with this new adventure.
I had to move my Zoom room upstairs. My den is a big ol cat house.
I can just hear our brother say, “No, I don’t know about your cat-during the GT.

My wife was addicted to stomach acid pills for many years. When she stopped taking them, she had the worst phase of indigestion ever. She still has problems because of her reflux and indigestion to a certain degree, but much much better than the first half year. Depending on whether she thinks she has too much acid or too little, she takes some sort of alkaline salt pills or sips apple vinegar soluted in water. Not really ideal but, in my opinion, better than medication that totally screws with the hormonal balance in your digestive system.

      Miss Bea

I agree. I think those pills were doing damage to my kidneys. So, I will have to watch my diet, ( sort of a new concept) and try vinegar, soda and honey. He had something in there about milk and 7-up I think, that sounded vile. But, I have

to try something different. It has been the third day without the Prilosec, so it is early. But I will be thinking twice about what I put in my mouth! Right now a strict diet of very little food sounds pretty good.

My husband and it talked about it. They want us to eat what we want, and treat the symptoms, rather then really help us to address the cause, rather then treat the symptoms. And that surgery is serious...

  20. I won’t take a flu shot. But, I have my own version. So far. (I’ve even avoided my husband’s cold, a first) and it’s vile. Hard to drink, but so far...it’s honey, lemon juice and grated ginger. Plus cinnamon, for a blood sugar problem. It is so bad I have to drink it, then water to wash it down. I make sure that ginger is not left in the cup. And, just a couple of ounces of boiling water.

I took it this morning, and it broke loose some of what I woke up,with. So far, it is working.

I don’t measure it. Dump it in, and drink it
