Speaking of Michigan, Br. Lee, 🤣 Here in the Upper Peninsula, a few weeks ago we got quite a few inches of snow. But it mostly went away, then we recently got about an inch if that. But now it’s just been quite cold.

it’s been nice enough though the past few days for me to get out and walk a bit. Not too far, just to get some ugh needed exercise that these old bones have been missing for a few months. 🤣

Finally have a nice pair of boots with good grips. City actually goes around and plows the sidewalks so it makes it pretty nice for a careful walk. 🙂

The city never did that where I lived, south of Detroit ( the Downriver area ) after a big snow and usually after I shoveled, the plows would come along and push the snow back in the driveway! 🥺Snow Conan Obrien GIF by Team Coco

O they can do that anywhere. 🤣 My driveway is in an alley and I can still have a big furrow of snow dropped at the end of it. They come thru during the early morning hours most of the time. So by the time I get outdoors to clear snow they’ve been thru already…generally. It’s when they haven’t been thru, and I get cleared out and then they FINALLY come through and bury me that’s aggravating.

Cape Town weather is pretty unpredictable. Even on a sunny day, most have a jersey in their boot. Winds can get so strong that even trucks get moved by it and police have to help pedestrians across roads. Everyday is different though. Never a dull weather moment.

Storm warnings and Blizzard warnings and travel advisories.  We are starting to get it tonight and the next couple of days.

We are meeting on Zoom for the MidweeK meeting tonight and on Zoom for our Saturday Field Service meetings.  We will have to wait and see about Sunday.

Starts in 1/2 hour, see everybody later.

Yes. That applies to Canada too. So thank you for thinking of us. It's been snowing on and off overnight here, followed by rain, changing back to snow later this afternoon. It's ugly outside. Plus, we've got a wind warning with gusts up to 90kmh (56mph), and a flash freeze warning, meaning the temperature will drop quickly from our present 6°C (43°F) to -5°C (23°F) overnight. It's going to be treacherous.

Our meeting was on Zoom only Wednesday night, because of snow clearing on the street at the hall (no parking spaces left). Our weekend meeting is Saturday, but I wouldn't be surprised if that follows suit. That will make three meetings in a row on Zoom, all because of weather difficulties.
