«Russian Church calls for a general mobilization against coronavirus

Moscow, June 21, Interfax - Metropolitan Hilarion, head of the Department for External Church Relations of Moscow Patriarchate, welcomed the initiative of the Moscow authorities to vaccinate at least 60% of citizens working in the service sector.

"I have a positive attitude to this initiative. And I think that it's very desirable, of course, to observe the principle of voluntary vaccination, the principle that was stated from the very beginning, but there is also the principle of people's responsibility for the lives of other people," the metropolitan said on the Church and Peace program on the Russia 24 TV.

He noted that a person who doesn't get vaccinated causes potential damage not only to himself, but also to others.

"We must understand that this is, in fact, a war, because biological weapons have been used against us, and this is a war for the survival of people. When the Great Patriotic War was declared, there really were a lot of volunteers. But if only the volunteers went to the front, we would not have won this war, we would have lost it. A general mobilization was announced. In order to defeat this virus, we need to declare a general mobilization," Metropolitan Hilarion said.

The representative of Russian Church stressed that our task is to defeat this virus as soon as possible, and in order to defeat it, vaccines have been created. "But, unfortunately, no one has yet created a vaccine against stupidity, no one has yet created a cure for selfishness, and there are a lot of people among us who are extremely irresponsible about what is happening," he complained.»

Well, this sounds like fun! 😃

No wonder the brothers' direction is to not resume Kingdom Hall meetings or public witnessing yet. This variant is almost like a new disease. And with the Fourth  quickly approaching, after 600,000 deaths in the US alone, I just saw young adults in the news saying they do not believe that it will affect them.

Has there been any news that a vaccine or treatment for the new variant has been developed yet?

According to this NPR article, the vaccine is still effective against the Alpha(Great Britain) and Delta(India) variants.

It seems the Gamma (Brazil) strain 'may' be capable of "outmaneuvering the vaccine" though.  :(

The vaccines seem to work as fine as always

the issue is many people are NOT yet vaccinated…

I know some brothers were prescribed ACICLOVIR 500mg to for treatment and did well

also vit k and vit c as suplements

no way resuming KH!!

Yes

this is true.

all variants so far

please Never forget that vaccines are not 100% effective

no matter what variants…

in 100 individuals there will always be 1 to 10 average that will still get COVID-19 🥺🥺🥺

Public health experts are blaming the indiscriminate use of steroids to treat COVID-19 as the likely cause. Steroids reduce inflammation in the lungs. But overuse of these drugs in COVID-19 patients can result in lowered immunity and raised blood sugar levels. These conditions leave some patients, particularly those with uncontrolled diabetes, susceptible to such infections.

Our government in Singapore is providing every household with an oximeter. It seems we can have low oxygen levels without any symptoms which can be dangerous to our health.

https://www.channelnewsasia.com/news/singapore/covid-19-temasek-foundation-free-oximeters-residents-oxygen-15081778

Regular use of an oximeter can help alert people to seek medical attention when their blood oxygen levels become dangerously low, it added.

"'Silent pneumonia' is one of the most serious consequences of COVID-19, where seriously ill people can feel generally well, despite damaged lungs and dangerously low levels of oxygen,” Temasek Foundation said.

https://www.houstonmethodist.org/blog/articles/2020/aug/can-an-oximeter-help-detect-covid-19-at-home/

In fact, there's a phenomenon we've observed clinically where a person with COVID-19 can have very low oxygen levels but otherwise appear well, termed "happy hypoxia." It's concerning because these patients may be more significantly ill than they feel, certainly warranting closer attention in a medical setting.

It's why you may be wondering if an oximeter can help detect COVID-19 early.

However, not everyone who tests positive for COVID-19 will develop low oxygen levels. There are people who may have a very uncomfortable bout with fever, muscle aches and GI upset at home, but never demonstrate low oxygen levels.

Pretty sad. It’s not 100% preventable. But there are things we can do that will cut your odds down.
There was a guy who was, “nonchalant”, about the vaccine. He got Covid, and a double lung transplant was needed to save his life. He is not, “nonchalant”, now!
Now a fungal disease?
If we did not have Jehovah, and his organization, I dread to think of the possibilities!

I want to age without sharp corners, and have an obedient heart!

Systematic reviews and meta-analyses overwhelmingly show that obesity is associated both with a higher risk for intensive care unit (ICU) admission and poorer outcomes for COVID-19 [2-4]. In the UK, a report flags that out of 10,465 patients critically ill with confirmed COVID-19, 73.7% were living with overweight or obesity [5]. Meanwhile, a report from Italy suggests 99% of deaths have been in patients with pre-existing conditions, including those which are commonly seen in people with obesity such as hypertension, cancer, diabetes and heart diseases. [6] Overweight and obesity also seem to be risk factors for worse outcomes in younger populations (<60 years old), with patients with a body mass index (BMI) between 30 and 34 being twice as likely to be admitted to ICU compared to individuals with a BMI under 30 [7].

A study shows that Vegetarians are much less likely to have severe covid-19

There are many flaws with that study!

First, it consisted of a “survey” of participants. How accurate are their answers? Second, the participants were located in 6 different countries.....there could be other factors that exist in each of those countries that could have an effect on a person’s experience, such as quality of food, water, access to over the counter medications and prescriptions, etc...

I think I this “study” is just an attempt to influence people to become vegetarian in line with hysteria around climate change.

Nope, nope, nope. Ain’t giving up my meat! I was a vegetarian in the past and even vegan and raw vegan, and as a result of those dietary lifestyles, I temporarily had several nutritional deficiencies. No vegetarianism for me until the New System!
