Ross, it may be because of mutations..I keep up with this Thailand News site because it is supported by voluntary donations, not trying to make money..This topic shows how the virus can attack red blood cells..so in advanced case, forcing oxygen into the lungs may just be damaging the lungs since there are few red blood cells to carry the oxygen to the rest of the body! (imbedded video worth watching..EM doctor in NY). I told my husband, that if this is true, we may have more concern than pressure to give or receive blood plasma..whole blood could be suggested..get antibodies and red blood cells! Oh..I can see Satan's evil plan! But....Jehovah will save us..not to worry if we are faithful!

It is as bad as you think it is, as anyone having to deal with it will tell you. Hospitals are packed. Its horrific but could be much worse if we ignore the direction. If we all just went about our business it would be even clearer how much worse it would be.

Covid-19 is literally “Coronavirus disease 2019.” That is the name of the disease caused by the novel coronavirus (ie new coronavirus-other previous Coronavirus’ include MERS, SARS etc).

 

The Novel coronavirus was renamed SARS-COV2 officially in February by WHO. That is the name of the virus causing the disease. 
 

But, colloquially we all just refer to the disease caused by the virus, and the virus itself as “coronavirus “. Meh 😕
