NEWS ALERT | The Good News According to Jesus Begins Filming

Recommended Posts

After three years of planning, preparation, and heartfelt prayer, filming of The Good News According to Jesus started in earnest on Friday, May 20, 2022. The international team assembled in Australia rejoiced at reaching this landmark. Brother Geoffrey Jackson of the Governing Body, who was present for the event, stated: “It is a joy to witness the enthusiasm for this estimated 1,000-minute epic of Jesus’ life that will touch the minds and hearts of millions.”

1,000 divided by 60 is, indeed, 16.667

I bet the average length of the segments will be under an hour.  I would not be surprised if we end up with 20 parts minimum. If the average segment is 20 minutes long, that's 50  parts!

How long have each segment of the live action dramas been?

Phillipians 4:8 Finally, brothers, whatever things are true, whatever things are of serious concern, whatever things are righteous, whatever things are chaste, whatever things are lovable, whatever things are well-spoken-of, whatever things are virtuous, and whatever things are praiseworthy, continue considering these things.

Maybe "T" for Theocratic

"there was Jehovah’s word for him, and it went on to say to him: “What is your business here, E·lijah?" To this (Elijah) he said: “I have been absolutely jealous for Jehovah the God of armies"- 1 Kings 19:9, 10 Reference Bible

Ecclesiastes 7:21 "..., do not give your heart to all the words that people may speak," - Reference Bible

We may need to watch it twice because of the duplicate topic!:bringiton:

Can't wait to see it!

This sounds like a lot of work. Anyone know how long the expect the project to take?

62 weeks.

"And after the 62 weeks, Mes·siʹah will be cut off, with nothing for himself." -Dan 9:26

According to Jesus  -   Can we understand the title to mean this film is from Jesus perspective, possibly?

In my opinion, "according to Jesus" probably means that it's not from one Gospel writer's perspective, but all Gospels combined, similar to what we have in print as the book "Jesus—The Way".

Do you think it will be limited to the gospels?   From Jesus perspective, it could go back further.  The Good News was born at Genesis 3:15.

You mean we might see Adam and Eve?

This is great news. I've been waiting for this for 15 years (since the 2007 "Follow the Christ!" convention). Let's be patient to see the first parts of the feature drama about Jesus. I hope they will be released next year.
I think the theme of next year's convention will be "Patience".

Would it cover all 4 gospels?

Every event recorded in the Gospels will be brought to life on screen.

It will be several years before this project reaches completion. However, we don’t have to wait until it’s all finished to begin seeing the results. I’m sure you’ll see Episode 1 in the not too distant future.

The dialogue is lifted directly from the sacred text.

Adam and Eve do receive a couple of mentions in the Gospels. I guess we’ll have to wait and see.
