That being said, it is certainly a noteworthy event, noteworthy enough for it to appear on jw.org and when that happens I take notice. Only time and hindsight though will tell us how significant or not this is.

In legal terms it's not a fact hence the qualifying use of the term "alleged". It might sound pedantic but the whole point of the court is so that the case for both prosecution and defence is presented. The judge and jury then determine guilt. In terrible situations like this it may seem open and shut but in principle there may be facts and circumstances that only become apparent during the police investigation. I don't think that will prove to be the case here but I hope the general point is clear.

That is the picture of the JW family that was given an award by Putin. The little guy on the end looks like he has his arm cocked as if he is ready to punch someone, it is obviously just a moment captured by the camera and does not indicate he has any intention to harm Putin. I used 1 Sam 26:8 about a similar situation David had with King Saul. Even though Abiishai wanted to harm Saul, David knew it was the wrong thing to do. So even if the young child in the picture wanted to harm Putin, we all know it would be the wrong thing to do. I tried to capture that thought in a meme... “. . .A·bishʹai now said to David: “Today God has surrendered your enemy into your hand. A side note. Some people who are not Jehovah's Witnesses have indicated that after seeing what has happened in Russia and what Putin did have actually concluded that this is some kind of "Divine intervention". Some have concluded that the odds are "impossible" {Ratio of Witnesses in Russia being 1 in 850 and for this event to occur at all} But the real impossibility is that the Secret Service and FBI {FSB i think its called} would allow people who are considered "dangerous extremist" on the same podium he is on and then have that very world leader "praise" these "extremist" for the very opposite reason that they are being accused of being extremist in the first place. Putin said they were "exemplary citizens" and said "may God be with you"!!! Why did the security services not pick up on who they were? Who do you think hid their eyes that they were extremist and banned? And recall Putin himself was once KGB! Now if worldly people can see this well...perhaps many may change their opinion on the truth or even become Witnesses as a result of all this. So no matter what the outcome is remain postive and have faith that Jehovah can use ANY event to glorify his Name.

In my own personal discussions with Greek Orthodox people and clergy, they feel strongly patriotic and say if everyone was like Jehovah's Witnesses then the nazis would have overpowered Europe. Hello! If everyone was like Jehovah's Witnesses there'd be no wars I can see the Greeks lining up with Russia for a slice of the money. Maybe he is fattening up the church for the slaughter to raid its monetary reserves.....

I see. Since you have internet access, try scriptbuddy.com. Having a script is not an absolute, but a helpful tool for you use. You can write your ideas down and plan your shots for action and/or dialogue. Even if the dialogue is Voice Over (VO).

Irmantas, Here's some suggestions for you, whatever ideas you come up with, write a screenplay. A story needs a beginning, a middle, and an end. You need a script to follow to put your ideas on film, then transfer the media for editing, adding sound, etc. Five minutes goes pretty quick. It might be easier 15 or 30 minute short.

I bought a really nice one, 200.00 +, but I'm afraid to use it. When I was little, my grandmother's exploded and she got burned pretty badly. I never seemed to get over that fear. I have used it a few times, but wait so far in between that I have to learn it all over again. Eventually, just stopped using it. I generally avoid crowded events. Concerts, plays all do not appeal to me because of all the people. BUT an exhibit on Pompeii is coming to OMSI in Portland, Oregon. I'm getting tickets. Mt Vesuvius and Pompeii have been of interest since I first heard of them as a child. Has anyone else seen this exhibit?

I absolutely love mine. Saturday I put in tough 'ol stew meat, marinated for 3 hours with montreal steak seasoning first. I put in a quart of beef stock, dehydrated wild mushrooms and 1 whole chopped onion. Cooked for 40 minutes. Oh my goodness, so great. When I warm up leftovers using the 'gravy' I add pea pods and broccoli to it, making a mini stew. Great for my thermos. Oh and it works great for gizzards. Fork tender.

We know something that will soon be available that will not only slow down the aging process but actually reverse it. No scientist is capable of that.

Sorry if you misunderstood my entire post but I am not trying to find type/antitype hidden messages here. I did not say this particular event would lead to the Great Tribulation. I said :" some day in the future ". I am referring to PERHAPS a similar situation happening IN THE FUTURE not this one since this only pertains to one country and one religion ROC. The GT will be world wide and all religions. And I said the court date on July 17th would be "interesting to watch". I am sure others will feel it will be interesting to watch. As for how "big" it gets that is up to Jehovah but I still am going to watch no matter what the verdict becomes. Either way we have already won since the witness from all of this praises Jehovah. Be positive not negative. Jehovah is in COMPLETE control.

Wow! Excellent observation by Brother Sanderson. Jehovah does indeed see the bigger picture more than we ever could. And he's bringing "His lost sheep back into the fold." No doubt there are inactive ones in other regions of the world who have heard of this ruling, which may prompt them to come back to Jehovah as well. Thank you for posting this news Brother Darin!

Update at morning worship- ...at Assembly Hall Brother handling daily text shared some info about recent Zone visit (May 2017) 'Jesus is with us' - comment at zone visit for Russia - held in Estonia because of legal stuff- why does Jehovah allow these troubles and this ban ...? We are not sure but here is a statistic - in preceding 7 years in Russia 37,000 had become inactive- after the ruling - by approx May 7 ......13,000 were reactivated - comment by Mark Sanderson repping GB - the judge did what the elders couldn't accomplish-- .....my words....for example he made those inactive wake up and realize the time left is very short.....remember..... Jesus is with us, helping us

I hear the price of the iPad New Generation (i.e. iPad 5) has gone down to $329. I have an iPad 3, which I really like, but if the time comes where I need to get a iPad 5, I'll gladly do it to continue using JW Library, even if it requires a 6-month payment plan. But this is coming from a millennial.

Though I missed the movie version of Virginia vs. Loving (the movie version was just "Loving"), I did watch the tv version and enjoyed it. I enjoyed shows like that because, for one, I absolutely love law. Another reason is, especially with "Loving" is our mother trained us that EVERYONE is the same. Then there is my own genetic background so that makes me sensitive to the ridiculousness of racial fights. Oh Im aware of the background of my own African American/Native American treatment, sure I am. Yet, I've never shared the hatred of the world towards Caucasians, even before I began to study. I've always felt it was STUPID. For one thing I felt and feel that it would cause me to hate my spiritual and fleshly family. Of course that attitude gave me backlashes in the community but oh well. Another reason is I know the truth, the REAL truth about racial hatred and it really has nothing to do with humans today. It all started with an angel. (ummm uh oh, if I went overboard on this particular thread, well y'all know what to do, lol).
