I personally don't think too highly of Muslims destroying idols claiming they are "haram" and God hates idols.. In Islam, prayer is directed at a great big idol five times a day. I call that hypocrisy.

Last weekend I went to a get together of friends, and along with a lot of good food, we saw a movie that I did not know existed, called One Night With The King.    It is a very dramatic story of Esther, and had some well-known actors in it, too -  Peter O'Toole played Samuel whose actions set the stage for the increasing animosity between the Amalekites and the Jews, some 500 years before Esther;  Omar Sharif who played Memucan, whose advice led to the King's dismissing his wife Vashti,  John Noble, a very familiar voiced actor who played Admatha, another of the seven advisors who had a larger role in this movie than in the Bible, and John Rhys-Davies, who was really the star of the movie,  played Mordecai.  My favorite part was how they presented Mordecai's message to Esther about doing something about this proposed massacre. 

 

It was enjoyable for a commercial Bible movie that wasn't altogether accurate -  it had a lot of novelized drama in it that kind of helped people in our day to see, for instance, the villain in the Amalekites  - Haman had a gold pendant that he got from his ancestor mother that looked a good deal like a swastika, and Haman gave a speech where he declared that "all men were created equal" was espoused by the Greeks and the Jews, and was very wrong .   But it did hold to the main points, and everyone there enjoyed it.

 

Anyway, if anyone wants to see it, it is on youtube (which is why I put this post here), and could be watched for free.

I saw this and thought it was interesting and particular helpful for people like me. Not trying to be popular per se, just better at social interaction in general, not be branded as "weird" or "awkward". It's funny because a lot of Keanu's positive traits have been already instructed of us from the Bible and the example of Christ, but people are generally more impressed when a celebrity does these things versus true Christians who've been trying to cultivate these qualities for years  But anyway he does seem like a really genuine person and I hope the truth crosses paths with him one day, and we can all benefit from not having too much faith in ourselves and having our focus being in the right place.

I do a lot of these myself, though an extrovert. I'm what you'd call an "introverted" or "introspective" extrovert though, as opposed to just a plain party animal extrovert, lol.

Iguazu is so spectacular that even an aerial view with a wide-angle lens can't capture the entire mile and a half of amazing falling water.

 

 

The beauty of Jehovah's creation is, indeed, breathtaking.
