The Mysterious Coronavirus Spreading Worldwide

— Pope Francis is urging the faithful to use the coronavirus pandemic’s “time of trial” to prepare for a future where inequalities are abolished and the poorest are no longer left behind.
That’s great then we can ALL be Pope and wear red Prada shoes!

An additional thought is that in fact this “ time of trial” has already effectively made the vast majority of us as poor as the poorest of us. So the Corona virus is already preparing many people for poverty and totalitarian government. The kind of Socialist utopia that this Pope has long been rumored to desire ( at least until it turns and bites him).

Experts say it may be time for grocery stores to ban customers from coming inside

"Dozens of grocery store workers have died from the coronavirus, despite masks, temperature checks and capacity restrictions to keep them safe. So far, supermarkets have resisted the most draconian policy: banning customers from coming inside.

However, some worker experts, union leaders and small grocery owners believe it has become too dangerous to let customers browse aisles, coming into close range with workers. Grocery stores are still flooded with customers, and experts say it's time for large chains to go "dark" to the public and convert to curbside pickup and home delivery for food and other essential goods."

We better get use to curb side ordering/delivery, although where we shop very few workers are wearing a mask and maybe 1/4 of shoppers!

The good news is that quite a few people would be happy to become those delivery drivers.

Friends, after feeling so down and depressed my husband shared with me a paper "Sunshine Coast Daily" in Queensland New Zealand...

Sunshine Coast is in Queensland Australia. A relative of mine wrote the letter. Retired and now Reg Pioneers. (1 paragraph was not printed...)

There is also a good YouTube channel where the chap gets a letter. He gave it a favourable review. So please give careful thought to the contents of your letter.

That's the one I remember!

"there was Jehovah’s word for him, and it went on to say to him: “What is your business here, E·lijah?" To this (Elijah) he said: “I have been absolutely jealous for Jehovah the God of armies"- 1 Kings 19:9, 10 Reference Bible

My grandson lives in Sunshine Coast. It’s a really beautiful part of Australia, in Queensland, one of the northern tropical states. Not New Zealand where Stormswift is from, also a gorgeous part of the world, but not tropical and further south in the Pacific.

But this is definitely an encouraging article, so glad you felt better, Sister Carmen.

As this conversation is about secular news pertaining to the Coronavirus, I have moved all the comments about witnessing by letter writing to a more appropriate topic.  You can find that conversation here:  https://jwtalk.net/topic/44890-letter-writing-and-virtual-witnessing-ideas/

A spiritual discussion about the affects of Coronavirus on Jehovah's people can be found here:  https://jwtalk.net/topic/44157-meetings-in-areas-hit-by-coronavirus/

Let's now return this discussion to the secular news.

https://www.cnn.com/2020/04/15/asia/china-coronavirus-qr-code-intl-hnk/index.html

China is fighting the coronavirus with a digital QR code. Here's how it works

"Imagine your daily routine being entirely dependent on a smart phone app. Leaving your home, taking the subway, going to work, entering cafes, restaurants and shopping malls — each move, dictated by the color shown on your screen. Green: you're free to proceed. Amber or Red: you're barred from entry.

This has been the reality for hundreds of millions of people in China since midway through the coronavirus crisis — and it could yet stay that way for the foreseeable future, as the country battles to recover from it."

" Relying on mobile technology and big data, the Chinese government has used a color-based "health code" system to control people's movements and curb the spread of the coronavirus. The automatically generated quick response codes, commonly abbreviated to QR codes, are assigned to citizens as an indicator of their health status.

Although authorities have yet to make the health codes compulsory, in many cities, citizens without the app wouldn't be able to leave their residential compounds or enter most public places."

"Three months on, with the virus largely contained and lockdown measures gradually lifted across most of China, the small square barcodes have remained in place and are still ruling people's lives."

Although authorities have yet to make the health codes compulsory, in many cities, citizens without the app wouldn't be able to leave their residential compounds or enter most public places.

What are the problems? - continue at site........

Well, some think they created it in a lab and let it escape. Others think even if it was from food, it's the neglect of the government that is still responsible for allowing their people buy and sell animal meat that is known for being unhealthy or even dangerous for human consumption, as well as for not warning people in earlier stages that they were aware of the outbreak.

They could be very well be fined on multiple levels here.

This is NOT a normal occurrence. Kangaroos do not go hoping down our city streets. This is what happens when humans, and  their cars, are in lockdown - nature returns! This is in Adelaide, capital city of South Australia and down the main streets.

https://www.cnn.com/2020/04/19/us/louisiana-pastor-coronavirus-stimulus-checks-trnd/index.html

Tony Spell after the stimulus checks from his flock, didn't see that one coming!🤥

A Louisiana pastor who defied coronavirus orders is asking people to give their stimulus money to the church

Tony Spell launched what he called the PastorSpellStimulusChallenge, asking Americans to donate their government stimulus checks to evangelists, missionaries and music ministers who he said have not received offerings in over a month. He said he, his wife and his son have all donated their checks, and added that those without a church can donate through his website.

Asked by CNN's Victor Blackwell on Sunday why he is asking "people who you know don't have much" to hand over their $1,200 stimulus checks, Spell said it was because some evangelists and missionaries don't receive stimulus money. Victor Blackwell says they can apply by other means

Victor Blackwell says they can apply by other means and why take that money from people who can'i afford it? I can hardly wait for the attack on religion!

Over 70% of inmates in one Ohio prison have COVID-19:

I think this will happen at all prisons. And I can think of no way to stop it.  Remember, a prison is more akin to a cruise ship than a home quarantine in terms of difficulty to isolate. Small, cramped quarters, bad ventilation and ventilation between cells, frequently crowded common areas, and rooms too small to be confined to without major repercussions to physical and mental health. Add in generally poor hygiene, centrally prepared meals and a requirement to frequently check on inmates, and you quickly see how there are multiple infection vectors that can run through the population, meaning lockdown in prison is quite the opposite of isolation.

One way is to release some supposed “safe” prisoner who didn’t do a malicious crime....which a state or 2 has done.

Given a couple days out and they are rearrested for murder, which has happened.

Sounds like a human plan...of stupidity.

Also the 60 minutes cbs news program showed how tight in some prisons it really is.

I was surprised to see this name. There was a brother by that name that was a lawyer for the WTB&TS, I met him in Nebraska in the mid 70s. Very interesting brother....

https://abcnews.go.com/Health/wireStory/head-warns-worst-virus-ahead-70245421

WHO head warns worst of virus is still ahead

The World Health Organization chief warned Monday that “the worst is yet ahead of us” in the coronavirus outbreak, reviving the alarm just as many countries ease restrictive measures aimed at reducing its spread.

WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus didn’t specify why he believes the outbreak that has infected some 2.5 million people and killed over 166,000 could get worse. He and others, however, have previously pointed to the likely future spread of the illness through Africa, where health systems are far less developed.

“Trust us. The worst is yet ahead of us,” Tedros told reporters from WHO headquarters in Geneva. “Let’s prevent this tragedy. It’s a virus that many people still don’t understand.”

Me - so why are most states/countries opening up the business markets so soon, the worry of economic collapse?

Victor Blackwell was an awesome brother. He helped a lot of people. Those who was in or out of the truth. He even was looking in to gun barrels by judges who did not like him. I would love to meet him and others lawyers of WTBS, like Schmidt , Covington and Powell. Page  92, par.2, Proclaimers book.
