I see it was a very tiny amount mixed with olive oil or honey. The latter of course has its own anti-biotic properties.

It will be endemic everywhere. But no longer a world threat. Let´s see if there will be another one before GT. Or if this is the one just before GT... Habakuk says that before the end there would be a big "plague" Hab. 3:4

Let's try not to misapply these scriptures.

*** w00 2/1 pp. 20-21 par. 7 Joyful in the God of Our Salvation ***

7 God’s triumphal march means disaster for those who rebel against him. Habakkuk 3:5 says: “Before him pestilence kept going, and burning fever would go forth at his feet.” When the Israelites were close to the boundaries of the Promised Land in 1473 B.C.E., many of them rebelled, engaging in immorality and idolatry. As a result, well over 20,000 died of a pestilence sent by God. (Numbers 25:1-9) In the near future, when Jehovah marches to “the war of the great day of God the Almighty,” those rebelling against him will similarly suffer for their sins. Some may even die by literal pestilence.—Revelation 16:14, 16.

https://www.jw.org/finder?wtlocale=E&docid=2000085&srctype=wol&srcid=share&par=11

If these pestilences are from Jehovah, as indicated in this scripture, they will only harm those opposed to Jehovah.  This isn't discussing a plague that affects everyone regardless of spirituality.

Phillipians 4:8 Finally, brothers, whatever things are true, whatever things are of serious concern, whatever things are righteous, whatever things are chaste, whatever things are lovable, whatever things are well-spoken-of, whatever things are virtuous, and whatever things are praiseworthy, continue considering these things.

It ain't over yet according to CNBCTV

https://www.cnbctv18.com/world/china-braces-for-new-covid-19-wave-with-up-to-65-million-weekly-cases-16728131.htm#amp_tf=From %1%24s&aoh=16849107496255&csi=0&referrer=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.google.com&ampshare=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.cnbctv18.com%2Fworld%2Fchina-braces-for-new-covid-19-wave-with-up-to-65-million-weekly-cases-16728131.htm

China is facing a new wave of Covid-19 infections that could see as many as 65 million cases per week by the end of June. This alarming prediction was made by respiratory disease specialist Zhong Nanshan at a biotech conference in Guangzhou. Zhong’s estimate provides a rare glimpse into the potential impact of the latest omicron variant, XBB, which has been fueling a resurgence in cases across China since late April.

According to a Bloomberg report, XBB is expected to result in 40 million infections per week by the end of May before peaking at 65 million a month later. This comes nearly six months after Beijing dismantled its Covid Zero curbs, allowing the virus to spread rapidly among the country’s 1.4 billion residents. In the wake of this pivot to living with the virus, the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention stopped updating its weekly statistics earlier this month, leaving many questions about the true impact of Covid-19 in China.

Zhong’s estimate suggests that this latest wave of infections will be more muted compared to the previous wave that hit China late last year and into January. At that time, a different omicron sublineage likely infected 37 million people every day, overwhelming hospitals and crematoriums and causing residents to scramble for limited supplies of fever medicine...

We have brothers and sisters in my KH that have had COVID 4 and 5 times and they have had all the shots. Just this week we had 4 friends with it. I have been fortunate not to have it but then I don't get out much. But I got my shots just in case.

My son and I are fortunate not to have contracted Covid at all. We're all thoroughly boosted, not overly careful.  Pretty good immune systems, I suppose.

Grateful that my 87 year old mother hasn't contracted it, either. She has chronic pulmonary fibrosis; something like C-19 would be very bad for her.  She's had all the boosters, too.

Y'all stay safe! ❤️

As far as we know, none of us in our house have had C-19, either ... neither has my 88 year-old FIL - that's one of the reasons he is so careful ... at his age and health, he doesn't want it

From how my wife was coughing over the past weekend, I strongly believe that we had experienced one of the various omicron variants. We have had previous infections 3 times and both 5 times vaccinated. Hers is Pfizer and mine is Moderna. Be careful out there friends.

I had a light cough, mild sore throat, body aches and mild headache. Had to forgo  conducting the Monday's congregation Bible study. As a reminder, if one has cold or flu like symptoms do not come to Jehovah's house.

That article caught my eye this morning too.

I was wondering if there was a massive uptick in cases in the US, but then I saw this chart and realized it is only a small uptick. After all that the US has dealt with (see previous #s) it is hopeful that they can handle these small numbers well  :

EG.5 is becoming the dominant variant around the World. It´s about 50% all cases in Portugal by now.

Milder symptoms generaly. Sneazing, blocked nostrils, for some days no fever not positive, then a bit of sore throat, a bit of fever then positive test. in less than a week  person is back in shape.

A few members from our congregation became positive last week and attended meetings by zoom. Most publishers were ok and attended in person. This is becoming milder. Thank Jehovah.

I think our kids might have had that.  The symptoms you describe are going around, but the school dismissed it as a normal cold when they asked parents to keep their kids at home.  It's way too late to take the test since it's been 3 weeks, but it's still coincidental and suspicious.  We've had several members of our congregation test positive but only have light body aches and stuffy noses.  No coughing at all.

My daughter currently has sneezing, runny nose, and a sore throat. But I picked up an at home test and it was negative.

As predicted. This coronavirus will eventually be just like the other 4 coronaviruses that effect humans, and just be another common cold. The days of tens of thousands a day dying are well behind us - until some future pandemic if enough time is left for another one to emerge.

It could be a variant of COVID.  Anytime I have sinus issues, I check 3 things: Pollen, Smoke, and Saharan Dust.

https://www.pollen.com/

https://fire.airnow.gov/

https://fluid.nccs.nasa.gov/wxmaps/chem2d/?one_click=1&tau=000&stream=G5FPFC&level=0&region=atlantic&field=duaot&animate=1

A lot of times I find we are under 2 layers of smoke that is aggravating my sinuses, or pollen is just picking up.  Every now and then the Saharan Dust likes to say "hello"

But if you're clear on all 3 things, then it's probably an infection.  If you don't think you were around someone who was sick, it could be a "stealth" infection....one that lives in your nose that never really goes away, but will pop up during times of extreme stress, poor sleep, or other immune zapping situations.  I recently learned that is a thing....

It may be allergies. I was recently told by a doctor that because of the change in weather last year there are new allergens this year that no one has built an immunity to yet.
