George Aljian: Coping With the Plague of Your Heart
Christopher Baloloy and 5 others reacted to mikelangelno for a topic
After watching I had to send this email (with individual edits) to several members of my congregation who I thought would particularly benefit from it : Dear ***********, I know you won't have listened to this talk yet because if you had you would have sent it straight to me. If I could have an audio chip with this talk on it implanted in my brain so that it would play by just thinking about it - I would have the operation today. Jehovah, through his faithful and discreet slave never fails to amaze me, He like His Son, our precious Saviour, truly is a Good Shepherd, nursing mother in tenderness and affection, a rock and a fortress to run into and a spiritual physician for our any of our grave heart conditions and situations.6 points -

My reading of the news account is it is Medicaid a state-managed program, not Medicare a federally managed program that is affected.. If you qualify for Medicare it shouldn't affect you. The bill provides that non-elderly and non-disabled have a work requirement to receive Medicaid benefits. Many confuse Medicaid with Medicare similar to how we confuse WTLibrary with JW Libray on this forum.4 points -

My music progress update: I continue to practice piano for a several minutes almost daily using PianoVideoLesson.com I am in Unit 3 of Year 1. As I am a slow learner is goes slowly. I wish there was a Theocratic music lesson plan as I would REALLY love to be learning music by starting with the new original music and kids songs rather than simple secular music first. Besides the secular music in the Year 1 Lesson plan I continue to practice 'Christian Dedication' on my own. As I keep at trying to learn I am also saving for a digital piano rather than the off sounding learner eMedia 61 Kb I am using. Our piano progress introduction4 points -

I love videos of the sun, since we can't look at it directly without damaging our vision. Jehovah's furnace for us is truly awe-inspiring.3 points -

Yah - more Vandross. Benson is not that good of a singer... he's "alright"... but a much better guitarist than he is a singer. The voice in our song is also of a lower range. This is the same brother who sings "Let's Take the Leap" and "We Marvel at Your Works"3 points -

Boy, can’t get Medicare till 65 when everyone’s body is falling apart. Already put in and finished secular work years and now they expect people to go back to work to receive any benefits. Course for right now this is Michigan. We really need Doctor Michael to come and take care of business. http://www.upmatters.com/news/local-news/senate-panel-oks-work-requirement-for-medicare/11285596552 points -

The attention grabber about this article is that in the address line it has Medicare but the article is about Medicaid. So now their going to make a quadriplegic on medicaid work 29 hrs a week to qualify. How else can they afford to give the rich all those tax breaks.2 points -
Backup and sync our app to multiple devices?
➕👇 ꓤꓱꓷꓠꓵ🎵Tone and one other reacted to Tortuga for a topic
If you have made notes on several devices, the JWLmerge will merge the backup files into a single file, then you use that as the restore file so you have the combined notes in each device that you restore. Then you can manage the back up and restore as you describe or periodically use the merge.2 points -

When I visited [South] Korea two or three years ago, the impression I got is that people there really yearn for the reunification. Beyond political ideologies, dividing the country in half left many families with members in both sides who have never been able to meet or to get in touch again. Both Koreas share the same language, the same culture and the same history. They are one single people separated by a fence. Reunification is the leitmotif of many songs and movies, and they are always talking about it. At the same time, Koreans life in a permanent state of alert. It's scary when you take the subway in Seoul and see cabinets with gas-masks and instructions on how to use them in case of alarm. Or when people are doing their normal life when suddenly the alarms go off an everybody stops, leave their cars where they are in the middle of the road, leave whatever they were doing and run to an underground refuge. You never know if it's just a drill or missiles have been fired. So news that both governments are approaching their positions to sign the peace is good news.2 points

Wednesday, April 18 Keep conquering the evil with the good.—Rom. 12:21.
GrumpysWife and one other reacted to New World Explorer for a topic
I always felt that "making willing effort" to serve Jehovah wins his favor as apposed to "passive" approach. I really don't like "lukewarm" approach to the truth. Many brothers don't want to reach out, because this means hard work in the congregation and ministry ..well, today's text nails that very well.2 points -

This pic doesn’t do that drift any justice. I had to shovel from the deck steps to that drift and then work my way thru it to get to the somewhat snow filled path to the garage. My lower back had knives of pain going thru it so enough is enough. Got to the garage to snowblow the driveway. I am done for the day. Gotta get to the chiropractor but he now has the flu. Gotta get there before the assembly.2 points

Well, they run the country, so they don't have to. Those officals are working for thr gov, so if you're going to the gov about those things, they are not going to act. It's basically just a dictatorship. The courtcase was all just for show if you ask me. The judges, officals, officers they all work under the same authority, getting their orders from the same source. The same people who wanted to ban the brothers, who control the judges to deem them as guilty despite all the evidence are the same people who got their forces to plant literature inside the halls.2 points

See that's what I DO like about it. Its not at all like I imagine either. But thats the whole point. We are not really given alot of information about that time. So we can all have an opinion. But what if does do is makes us think of things we have never before and we can ask ourselves what would I do? Would I be obedient... and to what extent.? Would I remain loyal under those circumstances? It makes me think beyond my own imagination. So looking forward to the next book. Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk2 points

Online thrift store :
SUNRAY reacted to cricket246 for a topic
I found an online thrift-type store online that sells gently used and some new clothing. I have made a few purchases and so far I'm pleased with the products. Shipping is $5.99 and some of the tops are under $3.00 each. You can even search by size, skirt length, or color. You can use this referral link to get 20% off your first purchase of $20.00. =. I like how each item is shown to be either good condition (ready to wear, no stains, etc.) or fair condition (could have a small stain/tear, etc.) I can't guarantee you'll like, just want to share.1 point -
