The Mysterious Coronavirus Spreading Worldwide

Just another reason why I personally am thinking long and hard about removing myself from Instagram so I don’t see this stuff, which just gets me frustrated.

Yes, "not my circus not my monkeys" is a favorite sentence of mine. That approach saves me lots of headaches. But I didn't mean to suggest you were doing something wrong. It's just that it's pointless to be upset by the actions of others. You won't be able to change them and in the end it's only you that are stressed.

There is also the other point I mentioned: we have different perceptions. Those brothers probably do not consider they are disobeying, they are taking some precautions they consider sufficient. I will give you an example:

A friend of mine is terrified with covid19. He doesn't leave his home at all. He has quit working and is living off his savings so that he doesn't have to go out. He has all his shoppings sent home, then he disinfects everything and put his clothes in the washing machine. Right now it's unthinkable for him to meet with friends or go anywhere.

On the other hand, I try to stay home but go shopping when I need something. Of course I always wear a mask, gloves, wash my hands, and follow all other safety measures. Some days we go for a walk or to dine out at some restaurant. I am working from home, but some days I have to go to work to Madrid, and that means traveling in the bus and then interacting with my workmates. From time to time I visit my parents. My wife and I already passed the virus in March, so we should be reasonably protected.

So my friend probably thinks I am not taking this virus seriously enough, while I think I am being reasonable and he's being paranoid. But in the end none of us is disobeying the Slave, we all are taking safety measures. We just have a different perception of what "reasonable measures" means. :)

Politics aren't necessarily the blame. Fauci in late February said we didn't have to change our lives, and didn't have to worry at that time, but that it can change.

The reason why we got hit so hard is because we simply didn't know just how seeded COVID was in our community until it was too late. Combine that with the fact we got the more contagious European strain of COVID:

https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/health/2020/04/09/new-york-coronavirus-cases-spread-months-came-europe-study/5120590002/

It was here, and we just didn't know how deeply seeded it was. So politics did not play the role that people often claim. Ignorance, and early views of Fauci and others contributed to this thing running wild. It was just unfortunate because we were playing catchup from the jump.

Politics in their own state had a role in this mess. I knew in February that this was bad. Many sit on their rear ends and rubbing their thumbs and hope it would disappear. Politics and Greed had a role in this mess back then and even up to this date and I’m sticking by what I said.

I am really good at hindsight, I knew as far back as September 2019  that the worst pandemic since the Spanish Flu would engulf the world.

Do not become agitated.  All have free will.  What people do with that freedom is their choice.  You, continue to follow Jehovah.

In agreement.  My husband and I do the same.  We go out to check Kingdom Hall, collect the mail (some friends think that the governing body goes to our hall or something, we get lots of mail for the GB) so that needs to be forwarded to HQs.  We both go food shopping once a week.  But, we have a ritual. Mask, sanitize our hands before going in, sanitize again coming out.  6 feet away even though we have masks. etc., etc., etc.  We have even gone out to eat WITH MUCH PRECAUTION!  Some friends will not do that.  We ate in a restaurant that we know well only 3 couples were there including us.  And they were like way down on the other side.  Maybe 6 tables away.  We did that to break up the monatony (did i spell that right?).  But, for the most part we remain at home.  There are those that can't.  They have to work because they have families to take care of.  The GB has said that each family and family head should see what works for them.  However, always cautious!

Surprisingly it didn't say where in Ohio. I guess other sources will give more details.

No, exact locations were not mentioned in the governors speech. Just these anecdotes

Quote

A prime example of this problem was related by DeWine during his coronavirus briefing on Tuesday. On June 14, a man attended church service in state while infected with COVID-19.

Following that service, 91 additional people from five counties developed coronavirus symptoms. "It spread like wildfire," DeWine said. "Very scary."

A son lived with his father who was in hospice care at home. For 2 days before his father died, the son was coughing (thinking he had bronchitis) as family members visited to pay respects. Five family members later tested positive for COVID-19, including a great-nephew. Then, a party with 4 attendees was held at the great nephew’s house, and someone there also tested positive. Since then, 2 others, including a child, have tested positive, and 17 other contacts are being monitored for illness.

There was a wedding in Ohio where the brother of the groom was symptomatic but attended the wedding and reception. Now, 15 people are sick, including the bride, groom, and grandfather.

Someone who tested positive for COVID-19 attended the bridal shower and the virus spread to several others. There are now six confirmed cases and six households impacted by this outbreak.

It doesn't make these experiences true or false. They are just unverifiable.

Phillipians 4:8 Finally, brothers, whatever things are true, whatever things are of serious concern, whatever things are righteous, whatever things are chaste, whatever things are lovable, whatever things are well-spoken-of, whatever things are virtuous, and whatever things are praiseworthy, continue considering these things.

Thanks. If channel 3 covered it's probably near northeast Ohio.

Channel 3 was covering the Governor's press conference.  These anecdotes were released by the governor.  So it could be anywhere in Ohio.

Alyssa Milano Tests Positive for COVID-19 Antibodies After 3 Negative Results: 'I Thought I Was Dying'

The actress said she tested negative for coronavirus twice at the end of March and had initially received a negative result in her COVID-19 antibody test after she was "feeling a bit better"

https://people.com/tv/alyssa-milano-tests-positive-for-covid-19-antibodies-after-negative-coronavirus-results/

So, Alyssa Milano tested negative 3 TIMES but was actually positive with Covid-19.  That's 3 false negative tests.  Good thing she felt sick.  She actually had symptoms but still tested negative.

Meanwhile in Ohio....

HEALTH

Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine tested positive, then negative for COVID. 7 questions you might have about testing.

Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine tested positive for COVID-19 Thursday using a rapid test – conducted as part of protocol to greet President Donald Trump at Cleveland’s Burke Lakefront Airport.

Two PCR tests taken later that day ultimately found DeWine tested negative.

https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/health/2020/08/07/mike-dewine-questions-covid-19-testing-answered/3317060001/

So, Ohio's governor tested POSITIVE for Covid-19 but then tested NEGATIVE the same day!  Did his positive test get reported in the daily positive increase reports?

Meanwhile in Indianapolis and in Kentucky last month...

Jimmie Johnson’s COVID-19 scare left him frustrated with ‘more questions than answers’

Oddly enough, it was hearing he tested negative for COVID-19 that upset Jimmie Johnson.

“I started cussing, and used every cuss word that I knew of,” the typically mellow Johnson said Friday. “And then I think I invented a few new ones.”

The negative tests came a few days after Johnson, the seven-time NASCAR champion, and his wife, Chandra, tested positive for the virus, forcing the No. 48 driver to miss his first race in his 18-year Cup career last Sunday. He was medically cleared to return to racing Wednesday and is entered for Sunday’s race at Kentucky Speedway.

https://www.charlotteobserver.com/sports/nascar-auto-racing/article244141727.html

So, NASCAR driver Jimmie Johnson tested positive for for Covid-19 and missed racing in the Brickyard 400 at Indianapolis.  4 DAYS LATER he was cleared to drive after testing negative twice in a row.  What, he had Covid and it disappeared in 4 days?

Phillipians 4:8 Finally, brothers, whatever things are true, whatever things are of serious concern, whatever things are righteous, whatever things are chaste, whatever things are lovable, whatever things are well-spoken-of, whatever things are virtuous, and whatever things are praiseworthy, continue considering these things.

So, these tests are not even reliable.  You could be negative when you actually tested positive and, you could be positive when you actually tested negative.  The system is so flawed and far gone that you can't trust  anything.  We continue to put our trust in Jehovah.  The masks are so important.   Our bodies pretty much are the best barometer that indicates if we are sick or not.  We have a wonderful immune system.  We know ourselves personally so, we know when things are not up to snuff.

Stay safe everyone.  Continue to obey the GB which is being guided by Holy Spirit.

How Asia's biggest slum contained the coronavirus https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-asia-india-53133843

The Dharavi slum in Mumbai has managed to contain the coronavirus in ways other more wealthier cities have not. In fact how exactly is quite amazing given that more than 650,000 people are spread over 2.5 grubby sq km, less than a square mile. That's a population larger than Manchester living in an area smaller than Hyde Park and Kensington Gardens!

What started as a door-to-door screening became unsustainable in full protective gear when the weather turned hot and muggy. They used screenings at fever camps, mobile vans and they traced and tracked aggressively. Donations flooded in from Bollywood actors and rich municipalities to provide food and rations to the people so they would stay at home.

People who tested positive were moved to quarantine camps. If their condition deteriorates they are moved to hospitals for treatment. The officials believe that because they were able to break the chain of transmission, even without social distancing, they have contained the worst of it. Out of all those people living there ONLY 80 DEATHS!

It also helped that the most affected people have been in the 21-50 age group, which possibly explains the low death rate.

I was wondering how the poor people of the world are faring since they always cop it worse than us richer people. It seems for now, something may have gone in their favour for once. However, it’s not over yet, and the human solution of lockdown and containment obviously can’t go on indefinitely. Until the Kingdom comes, their problems will still persist. This was the area in the movie “Slumdog Millionaire”, so you know it’s a pretty dismal place even without coronavirus.

Wow! What a difference 2 days make.

The U P of Michigan is going up in numbers by leaps and bounds. 😳

Alger County (my County) now has 10 confirmed cases.

IMHO a lot has to do with tourists. A sister/brother said someone asked a tourist why they came here while the pandemic is going.

”Because the numbers are so low.” 😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡

Sorry, that ignorant comment doesn’t make me like tourists anymore than I did before. 😡😡😡😡😡

Kinda pathetic picking a destination for tourism based upon COVID numbers.  But then again I would pick the most remote swamp or mountain anyways.

Isn’t it ever pathetic.

And we definitely get the terrorists, ER, I mean tourists here. 😁😁😁😁😁 In fact my neighbor said he thinks this has been the busiest he’s seen. He’s the captain of the boat that takes people to a local island here out on Lake Superior. Can go hiking, biking and such on the island.

Than we have the local cruise boats that also really draws people.

Gotta keep that almighty dollar. 💰💰💰💰💰💰 rolling in no matter the consequences.

Maybe it's just a false alarm. Since covid is a new disease there are many things we don't know about this virus.

From what I know, the covid virus is like any other virus, for example HIV. people who're infected with the HIV virus will not show any symptoms. Even 3 months after they were infected with the HIV virus, when they are tested, the results will usually be non-reactive (negative) since there are not enough antibodies formed in the patient's body to fight this virus could be detected.

New symptoms will be felt years later, when the person's health has deteriorated, and various diseases that accompany HIV infection appear. If it is too late to get treatment, people who have reached the final stage (AIDS) will be very difficult to treat.

US is 3 largest country....Brazil is 6th.... so these numbers sound reasonable....most countries that report properly have about 1% infected

it is a pretty common belief throughout the world that China - India - Russia are not reporting the magnitude of the scenario

(much comment that US is playing the numbers game also)

Either Way - amount of infection is directly related to population and ..... activities

saw a news article making a huge deal that 5 states have almost 40% of the coronavirus is the ENTIRE US....

but the key FACT missing if that the top 5 states population make up about 35% of the the US population

so it would make absolute sense that they account for that volume of infection......

Since we have been dealing with this Pandemic ‘Drama’

I have been talking to my kids and remind them to take much of the stories...’with a grain of salt’

and if it is a ‘sensational’ story - then it often is slanted and most likely a bit suspect...

they now come to us and ask us....i saw this ...do you believe it...or things it’s exaggerated
