Forgive me if there is already a thread, but I thought I'd start a thread where we can post the Memorial attendance at our congregations over the next 24 hours :)

The Memorial at my congregation is about an hour away. Maybe we could post in this format:

Congregation

No. of publishers

Memorial attendance

Partakers (if any)

Fire away! :)

This was a combined attendance at our Assembly Hall with 4 congregations.  The Assembly Hall is in my territory, so our invite was local, but the other congregations are about 20 mins away and I wondered if newly interested ones or invite-responders would do the travelling.  Seems like many interested ones did show up.  I had a lovely gent ask about my marital status!

That's never happened before.  But the lovely atmosphere made the Memorial feel even more special, sort of like a Circuit Assembly.  Our CO even gave the talk, which was excellent.  He made a wonderful point about the relationship anointed have with their father Jehovah - he was using the scripture in Romans "Abba Father".  When unusually, a brother approached the speaker with a note.  That's strange I thought.  Must be very important to interrupt the Memorial talk.  Then the CO read out the message. "We have a car that has the headlight left on, and we don't want you to have a flat battery.  So if your car is XXXX please go and turn off your lights".  Well, is that really worth interrupting our meeting for?

Then the CO made his point.  To who was this message relevant to?  Only one person in the audience would have their ears prick at the mention of their car's registration number.  The rest of us just let that information just fly over our heads. "It's not me".  It's like that with Jehovah's spirit being in communion with the anointed person's spirit - it is something only pertinent and relevant to them.  To the rest of us who don't have this calling, it doesn't affect us.  He said that was the best illustration he could come up with to best explain this relationship.

We all had to applaud!

Enjoy your lovely Memorial, and how lovely to share this great meeting together around the world, to say thank you to Jehovah and Jesus.

so, after all, was that announcement real or just for the sake of illustration ?

if it was real and the illustration was made instantly, that´s really something about the holy spirit

" Indeed, what do you have that you did not receive ? "

My congregation has 32 publishers and we had 82 in attendance. This has been the biggest number so far!

That is so encouraging to see good results for all your hard work. Your Congregation gave much for Jehovah to bless!

We helped a group (17 proclaimers) that belongs to our congregation (my husband gave the talk). They had for the first time a Memorial in their village. There were 82 in attendance!!!

Per total, our congregation had 285 (116 proclaimers).
