The Last Days don’t really affect us the same as everybody else though… we have our relationship with Jehovah and the accompanying support in so many areas, including an awareness of where we are in the stream of time and a sure hope for the future. These are certainly game changers.

As you mentioned, Situational Awareness is a huge advantage.  We know how this movie ends.  What we don't know are the details that get us there.

The year text itself tells us that we are not affected the same as the world -  We "lack nothing good".  We have what we need,

A brother said that he likes to use Nehemiah 8:10 on shepherding calls  "Go, eat the choice things and drink what is sweet, and send portions of food to those who have nothing prepared, and do not feel sad, for the JOY OF JEHOVAH IS YOUR STRONGHOLD"

In future, please let people stumble upon the surprise themselves. Some of us here haven’t had a chance to watch this yet.

Thank you!

People are allowed to speak about things that aren’t confidential. Why would you try to forbid them?

🎵“I have listened to Jesus in these troublesome days,

He lights up my path.

As I hear and obey.”

Some apparently feel this pandemic is the last stepping stone to the GT because surely something this big must lead directly to the GT... however, it's just a speed bump on the road we are on. There are bigger speed bumps and deeper potholes dead ahead.

I think bro Lett was referring to the GT it self and even Armageddon

we keep on the watch!

nasty times expected to 2022 for sure

Eph. 3:20 “Now to the one who can, according to his power that is operating in us, do more than superabundantly beyond all the things we ask or conceive”

We aren't in the GT so yes, we haven't seen anything really nasty yet...

Jehovah will be with us so it will be ok but still :D

Since I live on a small island which is quite flat and very much built up, I find it hard to picture the scene of "the valley of deep shadow". Has anyone physically experienced such a valley?

https://wol.jw.org/en/wol/d/r1/lp-e/1977093
The psalmist David declared: “Even though I walk in the valley of deep shadow, I fear nothing bad.” (Ps. 23:4)

As a shepherd boy David had become well familiar with the perils that face sheep.

  • Wild beasts might be lurking in a dark valley or ravine.
  • Or there might be bandits lying in wait.
  • There might also be a number of deep pits.

Without the attention and care of a shepherd, a sheep would, therefore, be in grave danger. Similarly, David came into dangerous situations. But because of his trust in Jehovah, the Great Shepherd, David felt secure.

As someone who is skeptical regarding the shots, I must say the numbers he provided were very comforting.

Interesting for sure.  He gave us a unique insight of a control group.  The statistics are those of the Bethel families and Special Full Time Servants.  These friends are (were) sheltering-in-place with minimal contact outside of the group.

Eventually, yes.   Just looking at the transcript:  "We can expect things to deteriorate even further as these last days march on to their end.  Economic hardships and trials will come and go."

If trials 'come and go', it must be prior to the GT.

How difficult will things become before the GT?   They will deteriorate even further  than now.   And, yet, not to the point that even non-believers agree that the system is ending.

So, somewhere between very, very bad  and  very, very, very bad

and maybe like the last times everyone will have this too?

It was announced in our congregation that the Update would be shown instead of the Local Needs part.

Our local needs part for this coming week 11 Oct was changed from pandemic fatigue to Update #8.  I think it's more pressing, and maybe like the last times everyone will have this too?

We had the review of our Convention scheduled for the local needs the week of October 11. But then at this week's meeting, the brother announced that he had lied. We're going to have the Update #8 too, and the Convention will be the week after.

Lied is such a strong word! Mistaken he could’ve said
