This thread is a small token of love and appreciation for you dear brother.

I am grateful to each brother and sister on this forum but especially to you for all your Christian efforts to encourage us and read our post very very carefully and take time to mediate and take time to research and take time to highlight and post according to our needs.

A great privilege to be with persons like you dear brother who love because they imitate jah a little more and are full of love and humbleness.

Though I am miles apart from you ,

your posts have brought smiles to many all over.

I sometimes do what I feel is right and my conscious says that to post my personal feelings for you is justified.

Pls keep up the goodwork of loving and encouraging us.

I just saw this topic now, but before reading it, I was not sure exactly what it was about?

Brother Dilip, you are very thoughtful and thank you for your kind words and encouragement to me and many others. 

And Vernalee, that was touching what you wrote, so thank you also. 

 

I really like the title "Appreciating Our Members" because I think each brother/sister here on JWtalk has more value than they know. I say this because each of you may not know how certain thoughts you express in your posts or PMs are like a generous "donation"! 

 

When each of us give financial donations, like giving to the "Worldwide Work", you and I may have no idea how the money was used or who benefited from it?  But someone definitely benefited from the specific donation we gave!

 

It is the same with each brother/sister here on JWtalk! Every time each of you post something, do you know that very likely someone benefited from your kind "donation"? Because these posts are read by many, many people, even many who joined JWtalk but rarely or never post, but yet they read your posts!  And then many of us have read the posts but forget at times to hit the "Like" button, so sometimes this could cause each of us to think that hardly anyone read our post or liked our post. But if your post confirmed some spiritual truth for another brother/sister, then your "donation" affected someone!

If your post expressed a beautiful quality like modesty or humility, then your "donation" affected someone!

If you were a peace maker in a discussion, then your "donation" affected someone!

And especially if in some way you lifted our Father Jehovah a little higher in the eyes of another by your words of awe about Him, then your "donation" affected someone!

 

Even if the only person that was affected by your words was Jehovah!

Notice this very encouraging thought below which we can truly apply to all of our discussions and posts here on JWtalk!  Because Jehovah takes notice of every single word and thought we express, not just verbally, but even written! Jehovah doesn't pay attention only to our comments at meetings or only talks/parts we have during a meeting, but He also takes note every time you write about Him, or post about His son, or about His many other sons, and about each other here! And our Father even takes note of our private thoughts that we wanted to post, but were unable! 

 

"At that time those who fear Jehovah spoke(or posted) with one another, each one with his companion, and

Jehovah kept paying attention and listening. And a book of remembrance was written before him for those fearing Jehovah and for those meditating on his name"
(Malachi 3:16)

Note that those God-fearing individuals “spoke with one another.” Evidently they got together to speak well of Jehovah and encourage one another, lest they become disheartened or tainted by the corruption around them.

Malachi says: “Jehovah kept paying attention and listening.”

From his lofty abode in heaven, Jehovah, in effect, inclined his ear and heard every word of praise that his worshippers spoke to one another. He also paid attention to all their private meditations. (Psalm 94:11) But he did more than just pay attention to their good words and thoughts.

“A book of remembrance began to be written up before him,” notes Malachi.

That book is a record of all those who have served Jehovah in integrity. Notice that it is called “a book of remembrance.” That tells us that Jehovah will never forget his faithful worshippers and all that they have done to praise him—every good deed, word, and thought(even if the word or thought was written in a post on JWtalk  ).

Dear, Brothers and Sisters

I want to share my appreciation for the admins/mods and also all of my spiritual family here. I have received such an "interchange of encouragement" here reading different post and having a share. There is so much spiritual food here to feast upon on many different topics and forums. I try to slowly digest and taste the flavor of every post I have a chance to read and have a share in because I know when I 

sign/off for the day I will leave here equipped and spiritually fed with everything I need to keep me spiritually strong. So I would like to thank all of my brothers and sisters here that take time out of their busy schedule from work, family, before and after attending meetings to come here on JWtalk and share your thoughts and encouraging words. I'm sure we all have those busy and stressful days sometime and the thought of knowing that we have a refreshing place to come and get encouragement  and be fortified with the insightful comments and years of experiences and wisdom serving Jehovah faithfully to help us deal with the many problems, trials, health issues, family issues that we face and have to deal with on a daily bases in this dying system of things and knowing that we all here will have comforting words of encouragement  and the appropriate scriptures to give us what we need at that moment as we look forward to living forever in a new world that Jehovah will provide "Just Around the Corner."

I can never express my love and appreciation for this group and being part of it.  All of you are so kind, generous, loving, knowledgeable, smart, funny, witty and all those other words.  Topics I would have never dreamed about  are discussed here.  We hear the problems of our brothers/sisters and they are given such wonderful spiritual advise/encouragement to continue to endure in this old world.  We all look forward to the new world and I hope to meet some of you then - or even at an International Convention or come on down my way and you can eat crayfish (crawfish  to us)  and alligator.  Tasty dish.  I love you all and so enjoy you.  Oh, and especially all the bacon lovers!

In addition, A Big Thank You to everyone here! Many of us have been members for some years..I feel like you are an extension of my congregation! Some of you suffer from chemical sensitivities and poor immune systems as my husband and I do..We chose to be able to witness more publicly because of problems meeting with our group and being in a car with perfume users..so Jehovah blessed our effort to make our letters smaller, then in colors, to personally hand to people inside stores, which proved to be so successful, that our joy abounded..making it easier to accept being isolated from the regalar meeting arrangements..Our goal: to focus on reaching as many people as possible before the end. The support you have given us is so much appreciated! Thank you to Vernalee for your precious gifts by email! Thank you, and all of the moderators for keeping us safe here! Thanks for the humor and all the smiley icons! Ross..your gifs are amazing!! We need that!! Thanks for the timely reports of natural disasters and JW Library updates! Comfort and support is beyond words to express appreciation for. Since 2012, we were under a severe trial in our congregation regarding malitious slander and false accusations..one by one, each issue was resolved, but because of our old age and poor health, this trial took it's toll on our health. You friends filled our need to be needed and loved! Thank you so much!

 

In turn, during this severe trial we were able to encourage many older ones and those whose mother tongue is other than english, to get tablets and we set them up, some in more than one language, and taught them how to work them..There are about 15 sisters we have helped and still try to keep up with to help them. They want to pay us, but we tell them that any money will go to our fund to help ones who can't afford electronics..We tell them it is Jehovah helping them because he loves them! One sister describes what we and many of you who also help others do, as a ministry! Wow!! is all I can say and thank you Jehovah for holding us up and rescuing the lowly one, partly by all you friends here!

letter change

I have encouraged some people in my hometown.
But here, on jwtalk, though some feel i was able to encourage them, i actually am of the happier lot to get encouraged.

In olden days, when a letter used to come, we used to read it with such anxiety. Today the world has lost this happiness.
But when someone sends you a pm. It's like a letter.

Imagine yourself in a school.
You used to ask questions.
Did your friends or teachers appreciated you? Na.
But here, you ask a question and you are appreciated. How encouraging.

I don't feel as if i am alien here.
Even in my congregation, i sometimes felt left out.
But here i become a son to some, a brother to some .
And what encouragement.

When someone is studying, he is allowed to ask many questions. But after Baptism, not all of his questions can be addressed to.
But at jwtalk, its all questions and answers.
And what answers we get.

There are diamonds here, who are able to leave their mark on this glass( me).

And what excellent moderators we have. They are with eagle's eyes.

All in all, a special, rich and underserved blessing for a person( me) who even though being in the truth, felt sort of orphan, but now got a big international family.
Thank you for your prayers and likes ....

In case, i may have posted something which may have offended you, i am ready to come and help build your house in the future provided you first build mine..

Perhaps i could mention those that provide wonderful words ecapsulating scriptural thoughts and support that only experienced brothers and sisters can provide. The times i read posts of support and wish i couldve fashioned those words of comfort in such a heartfelt way.

I'm just being an honest Christian. We are all suppose to be Jehovah's servants so to have to confront a bully in a simple word game makes no sense to me. What happened to the fruitage of the spirit among us?
Does Jehovah take a break at any time and not read hearts? Does Satan not be on the lookout at all times, watching our actions?

You've mentioned that in two unrelated topics, I'd like to suggest that you follow the scriptural guideline and speak to him privately. It's the loving thing to do for you, him and all of us.
